    Hulk

Character » Hulk appears in 7769 issues.

After being bombarded with a massive dose of gamma radiation while saving a young man's life during an experimental bomb testing, Dr. Robert Bruce Banner was transformed into the Incredible Hulk: a green behemoth who is the living personification of rage and pure physical strength.

Has anyone noticed how much of a beast hickmans hulk is?

I just started thinking about it, Hickman wrote him oneshotting thor on two occasions, coming off better in an exchange than hyperion (who was being hyped to hell), one shoting the world breaker, lifting a star, smiling at a punch from thanos, making captain marvel look like an idiot, treating tony and Rhodes as toys, just an all out tank. Have I missed anything?

Yeah during Waid's run, most of the best feats and respect came from other writers, like Hickman.

@therecanbeonlyone: Hickman even gave hulk a reason for being humiliated; banner used a device prior to 'rein in' hulk hence making him weaker.

@therecanbeonlyone: not really, considering out of all the avengers hulk was the only one who had a legitimate reason why he lost. Even hyperion (who was being hyped like crazy) came off worse in an exchange than hulk did.

IMHO I think Hickman sees hulk as the most powerful member of the team.

@theacidskull: I can't really say much, i haven't read much of his work. Though from what I can tell he's almost as bad as remender at researching the characters he writes.

    Yep.

Though its a different universe, I think his brief Ultimate run is also worth mentioning - evil Reed Richard's creations defeated/killed Thor, Odin and all of Asgard in about 60 seconds and yet an attack by an angry Hulk was treated as a pretty serious threat:
