Each week we take a close look at a comic book collectible. That means taking it out of the box. This week we got a hands on look, courtesy of Sideshow Collectibles, at the Hulk Deluxe figure from Hot Toys.

Check out our unboxing video to see what you get in the packaging and how it looks in action.

This is a massive figure. The fact that you get two different torsos, along with two different heads, really gives you options in how you can display the figure.

The first torso is the "Hulk Smash" one.

This torso is strictly for display purposes. Then again, does anyone actually "play" with Hot Toys figures? You'll notice, there isn't any articulation with the arms here. That's a good and bad thing. The good is you don't have any seams. He is ready to smash and you don't have to worry about seeing joints that can take away from the look a little. The bad is you're limited to this one pose. But that's why there is a second torso, which we'll look at in a sec.

Similar to other figures, you can adjust the eyes on Hulk. It's a little creepy since the eyes always look so real. You can have him look in any direction. To adjust the eyes, you remove part of his head and move the eyes to where you want them.

From the back, you can see the muscles upon muscles.

He comes with stretchy pants. The fabric gives it a more realistic look. The detail on the pants is as you would expect, full of detail.

You may not see seams in the upper body but unfortunately you can see them at his ankles. The figure does stand very nicely on his own. It doesn't come with a stand and really doesn't need one. You can see he can easily stand on top of a rock.

The detail in his face is fantastic. The head easily pops off and you can put on the second one with this torso.

Here's a look at the two different torsos side by side.

The second torso is for a more subdued look. He's still angry but looks less like he's going to smash you into the Earth's core. You can use either head but I kind of prefer the gritted teeth look with this body.

Note, you can see the seams at his shoulders and wrists. That's just the price for having some articulation.

You can see the eyes are moveable with this head as well. The top of his head comes off and you can adjust them.

There are some softer, rubbery parts to this torso around his neck, elbows and under his arms. It allows more give to the figure when positioning it.

You can't see the joints at his elbows. You can bend his arms but bending too much makes the material kind of bunch up a little.

The second set of hands has bendable fingers. They're more rubbery and you can see the holes in the figure like those old bendable figures you might have had as a kid.

I'm assuming the wires in the fingers are stronger than what I had as a kid. It seemed if you bent the figures too much, the wire inside would snap. Not sure if that's a concern at all here.

I'm not a huge fan of being able to see the holes in his fingers but it is cool being able to position the hands in a more natural state.

This is an amazing figure. Yes, you can even say it's an incredible one.

The figure is now shipping from Sideshow Collectibles. You can order the figure and get more details here:

The figure will cost you $374.99. That may seem a little more expensive than the regular Hot Toys figure but that's because of everything you get. With the two torsos, it's like getting a figure and a half. He is massive and pretty solid and heavy. He'll look great along side your other Hot Toys figures. These figures are for the serious collectors.

If you're a Hulk fan or know any Hulk fans, be sure they check this out. With the holidays and gift-giving season coming up, this makes a great gift for them or yourself. Thanks to Sideshow for giving us an early look at the figure. Let us know what you think of it.

Just wondering, why are these taken outside? For the mood? :) Or lighting more likely?

I was looking at this one on their site a little while back. It looks fantastic. I'd love to have it, and Hulk is one of my favorites, but it's just too much money for my meager budget.

I've always wanted a 6th scale Hot Toys figure but never found one I liked enough until the Ultron pre-order when up. I pre-ordered months ago and its actually getting close to release. Hopefully this doesn't send me down the rabbit hole and I end up with multiple 6th scale figures, rationalizing the cost of one was challenging enough.

@cave_duck: Thats how my Batman black and white collection started. I bought one with the assumption I'd never buy another. Now I have 6. Well if the MCU ever does Kang or Modok and Hot Toys does a 1/6th then I'd be willing to get Ultron some company.

@g_man: Hot Toys did a Hulk that came with extra hands and a Bruce Banner w/paraphenalia. Is this a different Hulk by Hot Toys?

@cbishop: They often rework figures. This is Hulk for Age of Ultron. There'll be some differences. There's also a regular Age of Ultron Hulk figure (this is the DELUXE) that only has one head and one torso.
