Hiyori Sarugaki

Turn back the pendulum

Hiyori was originally the Lieutenant of the 12th Division under captains Kirio Hikifune, and Kisuke Urahara. Somehow she and a number of other shinigami acquired hollow powers becoming vizard and left Soul Society to live in the human world. She and the other Vizard were waiting for Shinji to come back with Ichigo but she grew impatient and came looking for Shinji thus resulting getting beat up with her shoe and almost starting a fight with Orihime, and Sado. But Shinji stopped her and calmed her down. Later she was seen challenging Ichigo seeing how strong he was. She was having the upper hand until Ichigo lost control and almost killing her. She was in shock at what happened and the other Vizard had to hold him down. After they were done awakening Ichigo powers she was training him in how to use it and increase his time limit in his form.
 

Arrancar Arrives!

Hiyori is introduced to Ichigo and his friends together with his fellow Vizard Shinji Hirako. She's also one of the Vizards who help Ichigo with the awakening of his Hollow powers. When Ichigo came to visit the Vizard and after some provoking, Ichigo's inner hollow took over and attacked Hiyori. This left a deep impression on her.Hiyori is one of the Vizards up to battle Ichigo's hollow form. Hiyori is later seen leaving the warehouse with the other Vizard to fight in the upcoming conflict.

 

Fake Karakura Town

She is seen with the rest of the Vizard arriving at the fake Karakura Town, arriving just as Aizen, Gin and Tosen are released from their fire prison. After Shinji asks his fellow Vizard if they have something to say to their former allies, Hiyori shrugs it off.  The Vizards then all don their masks and prepare for battle.

 Hiyori teams up with Lisa Yadomaru and they help Hitsugaya in their Battle against Harribel. Hitsugaya then states that there is no point of questioning if the Vizard are friend or foe under the circumstances. Hiyori agrees seeing as she really could care to be helping out Shinigami, she admits that now is not the time to fight amongst each other. After a while they end up in an argument. Lisa becomes annoyed and goes to attack Harribel by herself. Hiyori dons her Hollow mask and releases her Shikai and goes to attack Harribel alongside Lisa and Hitsugaya, the resulting attack creates a large explosion. Following

the explosion, Aizen appears and strikes down Harribel killing her, leaving Hiyori to appear next to Shinji.  

Shinji tells the rest off the Vizard to calm down and down rush into things. Aizen then starts to taunt the Vizards and Hiyori loses her temper, she dashes towards Aizen but before she could reach him, she is cut in half by Ichimaru Gin. Shinji screams to Hiyori and immediately catches the top half of her as she falls. Hiyori, now seemingly fatally injured, tells Shinji that she is sorry as she just couldn't control herself. Shinji calls to Hachi but upon realizing that he only has one arm, he instantly remembers that  Orihim Inoue can heal as he yells for Ichigo. Shinji then gives Hiyori, who is breathing quite shallowly now, to Hachi as he goes to fight Aizen.  

Powers and Abilities

As a former lieutenant, Love has mastery over swordsmanship, shunpo, kido magic and martial arts. Like all Shinigami Hiyori has a Zanpakutō.

Zanpakutō

  Kubikiri Orochi  (lit: Beheading Serpent): In its sealed form, Kubikiri Orochi is an average katana. After becoming a Vizard Hiyori begins to carry his Katana over her shoulder sideways.

• Shikai: Her release command is Shop Cleanly.  With this release, Hiyori's katana becomes a large cleaver with a serrated saw-like blade
  

 

Hollow Powers:

• Because Hiyori is partially Hollow she can don a mask, giving her powers similar to Hollows. Her strength, speed and durability are enhanced.
•  She should be able to access all the Hollow techniques (i.e. Cero, Bala, Garganta, Sonido, etc.)
