When life for the citizen of Mega-City One gets too much, there's a legal 'out'...Join a helltrek - a convoy of vehicles, packed with like-minded cits, that leaves the big meg and travels slowly across the cursed earth to the new territories.
But without the protection of the Judges, the risks are great - disease, mutants and dinosaur attacks are just some of the threats they'll face. Few survive.
Helltrekkers was a 29-part story that appeared in 2000AD progs 387-415. It was written by John Wagner and Alan Grant (writing under the name F.Martin Candor) and illustrated by Horacio Lalia (although the very first episode is drawn by Jose Ortiz).
