Aw yeah!

Art Baltazar and Franco have been entertaining readers and making them laugh with their work on comics such as TINY TITANS, SUPERMAN FAMILY ADVENTURES and their current AW YEAH COMICS line. The two are preparing to venture into DC's New 52 Universe with next month's debut of THE GREEN TEAM (you can watch an interview with them HERE).

Yesterday at C2E2, Dark Horse announced their next venture - ITTY BITTY HELLBOY.

Art and Franco will be taking on Mike Mignola's Hellboy along with the rest of the cast of characters.

A ghost named Rasputin has been spotted. And Hellboy and the B.P.R.D. are going to find out what’s he up to. Who is Hellboy, anyway? Why does he have such a big hand, and what is it used for? Who’s weirder, he or his friends? What is the B.P.R.D.? And what does chicken soup have to do with all of it? All this and more will be answered in the debut issue, where BIG things happen to Itty Bitty Hellboy!

I have been a fan of Mike Mignola since Hellboy’s early days at Dark Horse LEGENDS! It’s true. Can’t wait! Itty Bitty has never been so HUGE! AW YEAH HELLBOY!” said Art Baltazar, famous cartoonist.

“We get to work on HELLBOY? HELL YEAH!” exclaimed Franco Aureliani. “One of the most iconic characters in all of comics, and we get to bring our own style and story to it! Truly a dream come true! We’re big fans! Itty Bitty Hellboy is going to be a lot of fun . . . and we get to actually say HELL(BOY)!”

“Given the recent developments in Hellboy’s life—falling in love, discovering that he’s the rightful king of England, having his heart torn out and dropped into hell—this is clearly the next logical step in his evolution,” said Hellboy creator Mike Mignola.

With the small number of all-ages titles, this will be a welcomed one. Sure it's an odd choice but it's safe to assume it'll be a hilarious one. ITTY BITTY HELLBOY will be available in comic shops on August 28.

What's with all the kitty comics out lately.

Im just not sure this is going to work as well as Tiny Titans or Superman Family. Hellboy has a much darker core concept with demons ghosts and monsters. Its a bit harder to make kid friendly. Plus this may be a personal thing but if I wouldnt want my kid running around saying Hellboy. Hell isnt REALLY a curse word but its somewhere in between a normal word and a cuss.

This is pretty cool, but I imagine this is more for adults who just like the idea of cutsey kid comics than actual kids. It would make more sense as Heckboy.

This is a much better idea than Hellboy Junior.

This is definitely something I am going to read.

Because there's been a higher demand for all-age comics lately.

Personally, I like the idea. My little brothers will love this. I will probably even ask to read them once and awhile. :)

What we REALLY need to see is "Life in Hellboy", where Binky the rabbit is stuck with the Right Hand of Doom....followed by sixteen panels of Akbar and Jeff staring at each other.

This is a kids book and the tittle in it is hell:P Don't get me wrong it looks fun , but it has a curse word in it , and that doesn't imply it's for everyone really, parent's won't buy this simply because of the word.

Great book! I would so get this since I love Tiny Titans and all, and despite the nature of the characters I think it would go well with parents to get it for young ones. I wanna see lil Lobby Johnson...

This was a really fun(ny) series . . . I'd love to see more of this, or even a Li'l B.P.R.D. mini-series.
