In lieu of writing an essay complete with a detailed thesis and oodles of textual evidence, I will instead resort spewing a modest rant on the behalf of the X-Man of my soft spot, Havok. "Why Havok?" you ask? Well, why not? It isn't as if Deadpool needs the exposure! And Wolverine... well, I understand the whole principle of "putting your best foot forward", but the who the hell thought that making him an Avenger was logical (not that it doesn't make for an enjoyable read)?
Here are some reasons on why Havok would be viable character to use for a title:
- He's the brother of the Cyclops, the most prominent mutant leader in the world......
.... while also being the close friend of Wolverine.
He's already led a few teams successfully (X-Factor, X-Men, Starjammers)
He's clearly willing to go the extra mile to get the job done (going undercover in order to thwart the Dark Beast, inadvertently contracting a virus after resuscitating Polaris, temporarily sealing Xorn''s head with his powers, even though his action wasn't rooted in any sort of reason or strategy)
Speaking of which, Havok HAS proven to be an exceptional tactican....
AND he's dating Magneto's daughter....
Please, someone develop his character and place him within a clever title.
