Instead of his soul passing through to heaven, he became the latest person to be bonded with The Spectre, God's powerful spirit of vengeance. Alleged to be the daughter of Mademoiselle Marie and Batman's butler Alfred. Julia remained as a minor supporting character for a few years, but was erased from continuity following Crisis on Infinite Earths. She would later be reintroduced in the New 52 within the pages of Batman Eternal.
Katherine Spencer is a lawyer and former district attorney. She took on the identity of Manhunter to correct the wrongs the judicial system could or would not. In doing so Spencer has frequently worked with Barbara Gordon's Birds of Prey.
Formerly the head of the Metropolis Special Crimes Unit, Maggie Sawyer is currently the newest Commissioner of the Gotham City Police Department and ex-fiancee of the current Batwoman.

Harvey Bullock and Renee Montoya were partners in the Gotham City Police Department, and he was her first partner. Their partnership would eventually end when Bullock received a promotion to sergeant. The two had a falling out after Harvey was revealed to have had the shooter of James Gordon killed. This friction may stem from Renee almost doing the same after Crispus Allen was murdered, but unlike Harvey, she could not bring herself to kill like that.

Summer Gleeson is the news reporter at Gotham Live and was seen frequently throughout Batman:The Animated Series and The Batman Adventures comic book.
At the age of nine, Timothy Drake cleverly deduced the identities of Batman and Robin. Four years later, after the death of Jason Todd, Tim convinced Batman that he should be the new Robin. He would later become leader of Young Justice.
