Why would anyone buy a Star Wars Kinect other than to "Ride Solo" as Han Solo? And if that someone is actor Harrison Ford then you can guess he would probably want to reprise the role in some capacity. Sort of. Actually, not really.

Topless Robot recently stumbled onto gameplay footage of Star Wars Kinect where you can dance to a song inspired by Jason Derulo's "Ridin' Solo". However, this footage is a little bit different. The video shows actor Harrison Ford playing the game as Han Solo, who is dancing up a storm. Check it out below.

Okay, so if you've ever played a Kinect game then you know that this is obviously a fake video. Still, who wouldn't want to watch a video of Harrison Ford playing himself on Star Wars Kinect? I mean, come on. That's kind of awesome. Although we would all like to watch Harrison Ford playing as Han Solo, the footage spliced to create the video is actually from when Naughty Dog invited the actor to play Uncharted 3 for the first time.

The game developer asked Ford last fall to play the game not only for promotional purposes, but to see what it was like for the actor to play as a character who was inspired by his Indiana Jones. From the looks of it, the overall experience may have turned Ford into a gamer -- he definitely appears to be having a great time playing the game.

Nah, maybe if it was a younger guy, he doesnt need the money man, he's just having as much fun as an older famous guy can, locked in his house learning to use the next generations gizmos

This actually really does make me smile to see a seasoned A-Lister star like Ford playing and seemingly enjoying such games as these. Last time I had this kinda smile was when I was playing the Lord of the Rings games on PS2 and unlocked special commands on the games which was footage of the cast playing the game too. This really is awesome :)

...the Hippster in me absolutely hates that Dancing portion of the the game. I mean, i know Star Wars has always been mainstream, but i woulda rather they got artist to make Star Wars inspired/sounding songs, instead of just re working lyrics from current top 40 garbage. but i know i should just shut up about it...

I've always read that Harrison Ford is a complete jerk, but if this video isn't staged, he looks pretty down to earth.

Gah. That Kinect game looks genuinely awful. Turning it into dance central just because that's one of the few good games for the system is ridiculous. I can't believe George Lucas blocks really cool ideas from entering the Star Wars universe and lets stuff like this happen. Ugh.
