In Brightest Day: Green Lantern Impresses At WonderCon Panel
I remember when I was critical of him being casted as Deadpool, boy did he prove me wrong back then, and has earned my full support as a Green Lantern fan in this role. If this movie is half as good as the animated First Flight movie I will be happy, if it turns out even better.... I will be comatose from an awesomeness overdose
I do admit the new trailer looks alot better but the original trailer just left such a bad taste in my mouth. Thing is they at least learned not to show any of it in the new trailer... but we know it is still in the movie. Still not sure I am interested in the story at all but it is on par with X-Men First Class, which is better but still doesn't hold a candle to Thor or Captain America.
Well okay then. If there has been buzz for the Green Lantern movie, it hasn't reached me where I am. And as far as staying true to the source material, sometime it's like, "who cares"? I never was really big on X-Men: First Class, in fact the point was, it has less of a push from Fox than the movies coming form Marvel Studios. No video game stuff for GL? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nFKzubma264 No trailers? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ogfFyL6wuGc&feature=feedf http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_axLoYlwwmU And here's something Marvel isn't doing an animated movie tie in! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0KjeeMf0xJw&feature=related And how about all the pics in the comics from the film right now? Or even better yet how about the fact that in just the trailer are recreations of panel's from the Secret Origin. Meaning that this movie is gonna be a hell of a lot more faithful to the character and the feel of the source material. Unlike Marvel and their BS with that ridiculous shit in X-Men Origins Wolverine and what is likely to be just as terrible X-men First Class. And oh might I add that the JL show was on at a time when Hal Jordon wasn't a member of the league, or even alive. And that the entire show was done before Geoff took over the GL book. This movie is gonna be awesome, especially in comparison to the X-men stuff that's coming out and you can bank on that. "
I made it point, while I was at work to go ask people (I work at a casino) what they think of each TV spot. MOst people were most exited about the Captain America movie, followed by Thor. Ify on X-Men:FC, and looked at me with bewilderment about the Green Lantern movie. Most of the people I've talked to didn't know it was coming out.
None of that is a scientific study, or whatever, but most of the people I know and have spoken to don't even know there is a Green Lantern movie coming out.

" @Osiris1428:OMG I JUST WET MYSELF!!!!! :) "From the trailer, or the sheer awesome-ness of my wit,lol
The wondercon footage is up, PLEASE do a video feature for it! 4 minutes of beautiful Green Lantern glory.
At around 0:27, it looks like Parallax is circling the Sinestro Corps lantern sign, just like the one Sinestro is standing in front of on Oa.
Anyone else catch this? You can see the 'arms' of the lantern at one point.
" This movie is going to suck gigantic epic monkey balls. Warner Bros nor DC are pushing this movie like Marvel and Fox are pushing theirs. Most of what I hear from DC is about Superman: Man of Steel And TDKR. I hear very little of Green Lantern. I think it's because they know it sucks. Warner Bros is kind of taking the DC name in only being serious on their approaches to the top two. I mean look at what they're doing to Wonder Woman. And it wasn't the special effects that made the Green Lantern trailer unwatchable-it was the cheese dialog and awkward attempts with comedy. And then they wanted to end it with the Green Lantern oath being all serious and what not.
Green Lantern movie=Epic FAIL.
Ryan, you should have just stuck to Deadpool.
OMG I'm not the only one who watches Itsjustsomerandomguy! So true Reydolds betrayed Team Wade and I am heartbroken Ryan! How can you do this to me????!!!!! But nevertheless I am still excited about this movie and it still looks awesome.
" 4. Someone said that Bradley Cooper will play The Flash in his upcoming titular movie. I know the actor denied this last year. Have this been officially stated anywhere? "Yeah I heard that too and Ed Helms will be Superman with Zach Galifianakis as Batman...that Superfriends movie in my mind is gonna be tight!
Actually, a studio will generally over-saturate the market with movie advertising when they smell a stinker. We saw that with Spider-Man 3, Watchmen, GI Joe and again with Sucker-Punch. The idea is to get as many people to see it before word starts to spread about how bad it is (But, I actually liked Sucker Punch). We're seeing that with Thor a bit, but I think it's more because Marvel's nervous that the character is a more obscure and outlandish that Iron Man or Cap.

"So what about a movie like Scott Pilgrim vs. The World? The Cons loved it. Tanked at the box office. Now so many people run up to me about how cool Scott Pilgrim was, and how they missed out on enjoying it while in theaters. Hell, I missed out, until it got to Red Box.
Lots of good moves tank in theaters. And lots of bad films do great. It's about marketing. To borrow a quote from 'Field of Dreams', "If you force it down their throats, they might say, 'meh, 's not like I'm doing anything else this Friday.'"

love the videos to death and back again!
Wow, isn't your conclusion asinine? What's to stop Thor, Cap, and X-Men First Class for tanking just as bad? Either you're not a good troll, or you have an incredible bias against DC. And if Ryan Reynolds decided to make this movie, that's his choice, not yours. So jump off his lap, and let the man make his money. Christ, if I had a dime for every troll that said this movie will suck, I'd buy me a Lambo." This movie is going to suck gigantic epic monkey balls. And FYI, Reynolds is still committed to Deadpool.

What's worse than a troll? A misinformed one.
