You need to look at this from a perspective of how scifi genius this is. If and emotion corresponds to light on the visible light spectrum why wouldn't they crate powers for the other lights? The visible light can be seen through a prism (like a rainbow) and the main seven colors are the colors of the emotions that fuel the corps. It makes perfect sense. Its not overwehlming b/c of the sense it makes
