There's been some debate and speculation over how the Guardians of the Galaxy movie will work. Some have seen the footage from Comic-Con. Check out this official image:

Everyone fits the bill except Gamora and Drax.

Jeez, second from the left looks just like Smallville Clark in one of his Red-Blue Blur’s costumes.

He does look like he stole from Clark's wardrobe.

Drax looks like something out of a cheap low budget film.

I'm not too excited for this movie, because I know very little about GotG, but I most likely will see this film in the theaters.

Rocket Raccoon is honestly something I'm most looking forward to seeing.
I just hope they have a good balance of comedy, action, and drama. Marvel has been overdoing the comedy lately.

The hair makes Gamora look like Poison Ivy.

I love the raccoon just chilling in the middle in the center of attention , like there is nothing weird about it. Just embrace it !!

they did drax and gamorra wrong. drax looks half red instead of just having red tattoos and gamorra doesnt have her signature ring eyes. sigh. the mock up picture made them look so much better. peter had a red leather trench not some little jacket. and where is his element gun and why no mention of his alien heritage? doesnt mean they will leave it out but it sure looks like they will

I'm quite excited for this even though I know nothing about GotG. I may have to look into a couple of trades.

Gamora actually looks better than I expected her to. Not excited about Rocket Raccoon, though. I really hope he wins me over but right now...he's my biggest hesitation.

@tattacus: You should read Annihilation and the DnA run, it's what the film is taking inspiration from.

They all look great, except for Gamora in my opinion. I'll have to wait to see a bit more before I completely write her off, but at the moment I'm just not seeing it.

Everyone looks cool but I don't get why Gamora's hair is red not green? Is it because it's too complementary and it's needs a contrast? ( I'm not sure if I'm wording this right because red is a complementary color to green) I also finding it disturbing that Rocket Raccoon is a cute little Raccoon which I love. lol

Drax just looks kinda blurry to me, but I'm sure he will look better in a higher res image. Gamora is kinda off-putting, though. I kinda expected more of a mellow, olive shade of green, but that's just straight up green. I dunno, she just looks...unfinished to me. But that might just be me being nit-picky.

Agreed. What I loved about his old design was the fact it had a very Pulp Sci-Fi hero feel to it. Like a Flash Gordon or Buck Rogers. This one feels like a Han Solo/Mal Reynolds which is also good because hey, Space Cowboy

James Gunn has mentioned (on his FB account) that this still image is "unfinished" so I'm sure they'll iron out the kinks later next year, relax folks. I dig the pic regardless :)

Looks great, and I'm sure it'll look better on screen. Never really followed GotG, but this has sounded really good and Rocket is a bada**. Drax looks a bit off from pictures I've seen of him, but it's still early on and he'll probably look different in the film itself.
