If you could choose JUST ONE new Guardian of the Galaxy who you wished was in the current movie or who should be in the sequel which would you choose?

@nihonniirugaijin: Phyla-Vell. I think she could add on to the cinematic universe nicely. I could see her having a connection with Drax calling on him because of Moondragon (maybe introducing Annihilation).

(I'd also like to see Nova. To see his dynamic with Star-Lord, and possibly Nova/Gamora)

It would have been awesome to see Phyla-Vell teased in a end credits scene.

Adam Warlock, seeing as he was hinted (Gunn did confirm the cocoon in Thor 2 end credits and in GoTG was the cocoon of adam warlock, which we see broken open in the howard the duck ending scene) so the odds of seeing him seem pretty good. Gunn also in an interview prior to the release of the movie said, there would be small hints in this movie as to which new guardian will be seen in GoTG2, so far the adam warlock cocoon is the only real hint I noticed from the movie. It also makes sense to introduce him before the Infinity Gauntlet happens supposedly in Avengers 3, since he plays such a large roll in the comic.

Since Adam Warlock seems like such a likely pick for the next movie. I'd also love to see Phyla-Vell! Gunn has said he will be adding atleast one more woman to the team in GoTG2, and he's also said he wanted Quill to remain the only human(not carol danvers sadly). This makes both Phyla-Vell and Mantis seem like likely fits, but I think Phyla-Vell would be much more fun to see on the big screen.

Phyla would be my top choice, then Warlock, then Moondragon.

I'd really like to see Mantis. The whole time I was watching the movie I was waiting for her to appear somewhere in the background. In comic books other Guardians don't really like her (except for Star-lord) so the next movie is my only hope.
