I seriously have no idea why some people in this thread have a negative reaction to this news. It's a simple title that gives a nod to the mixed tape, but also works as a sequel title. It's simple. How could you be anything less than simply "okay" with it? It's a title for crying out loud.

I would have preferred a plain "2" but still. I've re-watched it again and frankly I just don't see the love for this movie. The opening dancing scene is the worst part for me, it looks just "full of itself", fake... The special effects make it look great and big but it doesn't feel big. You don't feel the danger of a universal threat... It would have been great to have a real bad guy. I would say it's OK and that no one would have noticed if it wasn't a marvel movie!

@matthewparker: I'd have just preferred a plain 2 myself, trying to make it into a volume 2 of Star-Lord's Awesome Mixtape doesn't help GoTG's negative reputation as a long music video.

I think this is a great title. Fits the tone of the film very well

GOTG V.2 woks fine as I was expecting it to be even more simplistic Guardians of the Galaxy-II.

Rumours say that at least Chris Pratt was very moved by the script for the next movie... So here's hoping for the best.

Yeah, Despite the best efforts of Pace in the role, Ronan just couldn't quite carry the menace he was supposed to. It's not like he had too little screen time or anything. Vader in SW 1 for example had half of Ronan's but was 10 times more menacing .
