Why is Kyle's mask different?

A Green Lantern is an officer of the intergalactic police force known as the Green Lantern Corps, who have the ability to overcome great fear with the might of willpower. They possess power rings capable of creating constructs characterized by their will and strength to use it. Each Green Lantern is given a Sector of the Universe to protect and it is their priority to suppress any threat against their sector.

He actually originally had a costume that looked just like Hal Jordan's, but his girlfriend told him that he should have his own style instead of having the same costume as another GL so he just redesigned the whole costume like that. Every GL can design their own costume, and that mask is simply part of the design he decided to take when he changed it.

Um, because he chose to??? What difference does it make? It's not a standard GLC part of the uniform, it's basically up to the individual GL if they even want one?? Alot of the GLC don't have one, and i'ts only those that have a secret identitiy to hide, really. As to the designe, it's up to the individual entity.
