Spoiler: Green Lantern #1 Cover Reveals the Lantern of Sector 2814 [Updated]
Am I the only one hoping that Sinestro will kill all the Guardians ???
id laugh my ass off, it would serve them right. Kyle never should have brought them back.
I have a little tiny blue spot hiding in a corner of my inner-self, that hopes...
...just hopes...
...that Sinestro remains as the main Green Lantern of the main GL title.
Anything other than Hal Jordan is perfect for me.
HNNGGG!
This is beautiful! It brought a tear to my eye! I've been hoping for this forever! I <3 you Geoff Johns. :3
This whole thing put a big smile on my face and gave me a chuckle... my question is, what's going to happen to the Sinestro Corp now? Are they going to be renamed the 'Yellow Corps'. Suddenly they don't inspire as much terror as they used too...
After reading the latest issue of GL, I never would have expected this. Looks like no more Hal for awhile as for the rumors were true. Sinestro gets his own book which is great.
That made me laugh.
I dont know what I think about this. A piece of me likes it a piece of me is very unhappy.
WAAAAAY back right before Blackest Night someone on here called it. I don't know who, but they were showing the book of OA and the guardians I think were talking and someone said the they thought Sinestro was going to become a GL again because in the pic it showed Sinestro wairing a GL ring. Nice call. That was the first thing that popped into my head when I saw the pic. I like the idea. If Mageto can go from bad to good, then why couldn't Sinestro. This should be interesting.
@Everyman011: Yeah, I read it, but I like Hal Jordan. Suprisingly I'm not upset about this. I'm excited actually. There are alot of interesting stories to be told now. Can't wait. Too many questions!
Seriously, WTF. The revamp makes me out of my mind. I just started to read in a hardcore amount of DC comics, became a fan and now I'm confused with their choices.
I find it unsettling that SO MANY people are against this idea.
Do you people seriously not find this exciting at all ?
where is hal in all of this? i read the source and all i see is sinestro, kayner, guy, and stewart...but where is hal?!
I think the most interesting bit in the end of the issue is actually a strange one. When Sinestro muttered one word, "Jordan?" it actually touched me. Just like when he saved his life from Krona it shows he has respect for Jordan. I'm all for Sinestro becoming a GL again. He is one of the best of em' after all. He's always believed in the corps. I'm saying this even as a HUGE Hal Jordan fan. I'm looking forward to the reboot come September and I'll be picking up every lantern book. Hal's coming back and it shall be grand.
Annnnnnndddddddd....this is why I'm dropping DC come September. Why ? because they actually try to change things so we don't get the same stories all over again ? If you don't like change, mpaybe you can re-read all your comics all over again...
If you don't like it, drop DC, but stop making a fuss about it ! (not only you... all the people scremaing "screw DC" and "I'm done with DC").
You think marvel is better ? Honestly... I prefer a DCU who change that a Marvel Universe that doesn't know where it is going (Spidey and Wolvie are everywhere, and the rest is boring...)
To be one of the few who goes on the side of this tide rather than against it, this is a good thing, personally, I like Sinestro, not a small amount, but I REALLY like him, this could be one of those really amazing times where they do something truly different. Don't get me wrong, I want Hal to get his ring back, but I also think this new direction with Sinestro as a GL again will do something pretty good for the series and for the future of all the corps.
That all being said, I might as well toss out a few theories on what this means (Possible Spoilers here everyone, but most of you already saw the latest GL comic):
I can say from experience and I know a lot of you will agree, don't ever trust covers, I doubt it will be Sinestro fighting his own corps, what I think WILL happen is there will be a sudden power vacuum and they will fight over who will lead the corps, and also, who will get Sinestro's ring. I also am guessing he will do everything in his power to get his old ring back, and get Jordan back into the corps, why else would he have saved Hal if not to mean well toward him.
Well this update is certainly getting people talking, will be interesting to see what the effects are when this all comes into play.
I really wish that Sinestro would join the Justice League in Hal's place. Sure, he's not trusted, but that would make for GREAT story. It'd be a good development for his character, too - he goes against the Corps, makes his own, but then eventually settles on his love for the Corps and is chosen by a ring to be a Green Lantern again. I for one am completely for this. If there's anything the Green Lantern movie showed us, it's that Hal Jordan isn't really that interesting.
