From the planet Xudar, Tomar Tu is the former Green Lantern of Space Sector 2813 and son of Tomar Re. Tomar Tu was stripped of his ring after executing the Xudarian serial killer Romat Ru, and later became a member of the Darkstars.
Formerly an architect, social activist, and U.S. Marine sniper, John Stewart was chosen by the Guardians of the Universe to join the Green Lantern Corps, an intergalactic peacekeeping organization dedicated to protecting life throughout the universe. With his organic parts genetically identical to Superman's, many believed that the former astronaut Hank Henshaw truly was the Last Son of Krypton restored to life after his death at the hands of Doomsday. Until he destroyed Coast City in Superman's name which led Hal Jordan to becoming a villain known as Parallax. Since then he has become a permanent menace for Superman and Green Lantern.
Terri was the wife of Hank Henshaw, the Cyborg Superman. She was also part of the Excalibur crew mission when it went wrong, gaining superpower temporarily before killing herself seeing her husband's new robot body. Terri was briefly resurrected as a Black Lantern during blackest night.
Guy Gardner started out as the backup Green Lantern for Hal Jordan. He has since become one of the most prominent Green Lanterns of the Corps, despite possessing an egocentric personality. He has recently deserted his Green Power Ring in favor of the Red Ring of rage. Guy's will and rage are some of the most impressive in the entire Emotional Spectrum.
Originally thought to be chosen by chance, it was later revealed that Ganthet chose Kyle Rayner because he had the ability to harness the powers of the emotional spectrum. Once the Torchbearer of the Green Lantern Corps, Kyle graduated to the role Ganthet had intended for him: the White Lantern. After the White Ring is separated into seven rings, Kyle returns to being a Green Lantern Corpsman.
Dr. Soranik Natu is a highly skilled surgeon from the planet Korugar. She was selected to become a Green Lantern and has had to overcome her peoples' hate of the Green Lanterns; the hate of her father, Thaal Sinestro, created during his time as Korugar's Green Lantern. Because of that, she was initially very reluctant to join the Corps, but has since come to see its value.
