    Only the Dead 0

Its sad to see Patrick Gleason and Peter Tomasi leave this book but Tony Bedard did a good job in writing this issue but as for the art it was kinda inconsistent the opening scene was fantastic but as the book went on the art floundered a little the weakest part of the book had to be the flashback to the events of blackest night but for every bad there is good one of the scenes with Ganthet looked amazing. All in all the future looks good with Tony as the writer and if Ardian Syaf can make a mo...

A New Era For The Green Lantern Corps 0

Plot & Action: The readers are treated to another tease of Guy Gardner's mission that sets up "Emerald Warriors." The problem? We still don't know exactly what it is. The payoff better be good if they're going to tease it twice without revealing it. So what happens after that? Ganthet returns, as the cover indicates, to the Green Lantern Corps. His reasoning, which I'm sure he's also hiding more reasons why, was solid. We then see two storylines begin: one with the Alpha Guardians and anothe...

Review: Green Lantern Corps #48 0

Ganthet leaves his long term job as a Guardian, for both the Green and Blue Lantern Corps in order to become a Green Lantern. John Stewart teams up with the Alpha Lanterns.  The Good Everything seems to be a tie-in with Brightest Day, and although it seems incredibly annoying, this issue is anything but that. It finally feels like the Green Lantern Corps book is doing its own thing for once as Ganthet becomes a Green Lantern, and as John Stewart assists Boodikka. This story also has a "one of us...

Green Lantern Corps 48: The new Honor Guard! 0

The Story   We see some Brightest Day stuff, but nothing you could not see on other books, most of the story goes around Ganthlet becoming a Lantern and a subplot with some other "lanterns" popping up. And these blue guys down here seem to be a little bit more understanding since the punch in the face they received last month. The Guardians, those little big headed old blue guys.   The Good  We see the forging of a Battery and a ring, which may or may not imply stuff but it is good to see it ...

One old blue guy gets a lantern ring and I'm to be wooed. 0

Story We start this issue off with Ganthet and Guy talking to Atrocitus. They are making a deal about something that I really didn't understand. Ganthet decides to resign his status as a guardian of the universe. Ganthet decides to make a lantern ring for himself and is now a Green Lantern. Hraalkar is having a nightmare and wakes up. Varix is telling him that he has been requisitioned into the Alpha-Lantern Corps. John Stewart is to report to the Citadel. Boodikka requests his help on planet Gr...

    Revival 0

This is another issue which has the unfortunate requirement to follow on the end of Blackest Night and to try to capture the attention of the reader.  There is enough going on here, just not as much of it seems as pressing as events two issues previous.  Instead of the feeling of immediacy this feels a lot more relaxed as the reader is taken on a bit of a tour of Oa and its various inhabitants before any forward looking plot is established (well except for parts on Ysmault.)  In fact some parts ...
