    Green Lantern #15

    THE GOOD:
Doug Mahnke is perfect for this book. He adds a lot of details to all the panels, but everything looks so simple. Mahnke draws The Third Army so well with tons of details and makes them look horrifying. The expressions also make use of the very few lines that he adds to them and it ends up in a satisfying appearance. Geoff Johns brings out everything in this story. We start with a lantern that is traveling to his home world. This is a great addition to the story because we can see how drastic this new threat is. The real struggle starts when we get to Simon, a character who Johns has really made you like in a very few issues. Having him discover what he does, was well written and makes you really see what has happened in the situation. Agent Fed steals that awards for new character though. He questions the story of Simon Baz and it ends up really well with a team up that was very fun to see. The ending was very fun because you really see more of the corps has survived.

    THE BAD:
While Doug Mahnke does all the penciling, the inking makes the work look slightly inconsistent between pages. This is no big deal, but it makes the comic from feeling perfect.

    THE VERDICT: 4.5/5 (Amazing)
Green Lantern has grabbed my attention once again with this new story and new characters. Geoff Johns has really been knocking it out of the park and making this new character was a wise decision. I don't know how long Simon will be Green Lantern but I hope that he is around for a while because he is a very likable character. If you like the Green Lantern but haven't been able to get into the series since the New 52 wasn't a really fresh start, then get issue #0 on and you will meet a new lantern and see him go through a lot in a short amount of time. I highly recommend you try this.

Since Geoff Johns started writing Green Lantern back in Green Lantern: Rebirth I have became a huge fan of the power wielders from around the galaxy, but mainly the Lanterns featured in the main Green Lantern series' (Hal Jordan, Sinestro, and Simon Baz). This storyline has also been very interesting, and I am looking forward to what Rise of the Third Army leads in to.PlotThis issue sees Simon Baz attempting to clear his name by visiting the owner of the van he stole. Agent Fed is also on Baz' t...

The GoodFinally, after couple issues of having Simon Baz believed to be accused as a wanted criminal of a "terrorist attack" after 9-11, he is proven innocent by Agent Fed, not only to have the truth of the car explosion unravelled in front of their eyes. Geoff Johns answers lots of questions that we held going into the this issue, leaving some questions still to be clarified. Despite Baz having proved innocent in the eyes of Agent Fed, he still needs to settle his dispute with the Justice Leagu...
