A nameless, faceless cartoonist wanders into the Dominion branch of The Great Northern Brotherhood of Canadian Cartoonists. As the narrator leads the reader through the halls of the GNBCC building, he also takes them on a tour of Canadian cartooning history, pausing to dwell on the great, the mysterious, the awful, unflinchingly describing their foibles as well as their triumphs, and reflecting on their greatness, their contributions, and their legacy. The tale is partially based in fact, and partially in fiction, as it explores the great real-life contributions of Canadian cartoonists such as Doug Wright, and also the fictional fictions of creations such as Kao-Kuk, the first Inuit to travel to the stars.
