Hmm....anyone ever think about this? Like if he wasn't asexual, do you think he would be able to get a mate? Not saying give him a female Godzilla or anything, but perhaps a female T-rex coming from the past and into the future? Equal to his own height of course. (Since there has been time travel involved in the movies) I dunno, the thought has always interested me...I guess its because Godzilla isn't really just a beast or monster....well I mean he is a monster but I think everyone knows what I mean...hes well known and all that.
Godzilla
Character » Godzilla appears in 422 issues.
The king of the monsters. He is mankind's greatest ally and enemy. Quite possibly the most unpredictable force on the face of the planet.
Godzilla can have a mate?
Honestly to me it doesn't really matter. I watch Godzilla to see him destroy other cities and beat other monsters. The biology of a giant mutated lizard that breaths nuclear fire is the farthest thing in my mind.

My thoughts exactly.
@avenging_x_bolt: Agreed, since some people seem to match them anyway lol
@avenging_x_bolt: @deathgorath444: Odd combination don't you think?
@warlordeternal: aren't all the best couples a little odd
Toho Godzilla was never said to be asexual, at least not as far as I remember it. There have been plenty of movies with lots of cheesy scientific stuff that I probably missed. He was able to have a relationship with his adoptive son, so I don't see why he couldn't have a relationship with a female monster and have babies 0-0. At least he would be a caring father to his children, well, for a kaiju anyway. I do wonder about how much destruction a spousal argument would cause, lol.
He and Mothra are going steady
Mothra is a boy so....
@farkam: Monthra is a girl. And she is asexual.
There doesn't seem to be a definite answer on Mothra's gender, though plenty of people consider Mothra female. My memory is fuzzy but I remember Mothra being referred to as a male originally. The only Mothra that was overtly male was Mothra Leo (And Battra, if you count him). I don't get the last part of your sentence, since I never debated as to whether she was asexual or not. 0-0
@farkam: Yes it is a definite answer. Mothra have always been a girl until Rebirth of Mothra. Mothra Leo is the baby of Mothra, because she always have twins. In the movie of Rebirth of Mothra. She had one baby before she die, and that is Mothra Leo. He is the last of his kind. My last part of my sentence is because Mothra is the only one who is asexual and not godzilla. And that is the Heisei series. And Battra is not a Mothra he is different. The reason why people consider Mothra a girl is because that what it started out with. And after the Heisei series they went back making Mothra a girl as you have seen in the 2000 version. In godzilla Final Wars it is a girl.

Yeah, you are probably right. Looks like I mis-remembered something. I remember reading something that said he was intended to be male but was considered female by audiences 0-0. I haven't watched the movies in a long while. The only asexual Godzilla I know is the one from the American film. I never said he was a Mothra.
@terry2012: what this guy said.
@farkam: I'm pretty sure Mothra is historically a female. I know one of the Babies was male and maybe one of the ones from the solo film ( I don't know, I haven't seen the solo films) but I'm pretty sure when most people mention Mothra, they're referring to the female one.
@farkam: "I never said he was a Mothra." I know, I'm just saying if someone was to count him as one.
Alright.
No.Godzilla seems to be sterile like a Liger.There would be no reason for him to mate, especially not with Mothra.Which is just gross (also because I hate Mothra with a passion).

Because she's just a plot device constantly used to just annoy Godzilla.

I don't really agree with that, but whatever.
