    Short summary describing this issue.

No recent wiki edits to this page.

"Personal Demons" is a self-contained story which opens with Ghost Rider racing a highway patrolman ignorant of the Spirit of Vengeance's existence "near Thalburg," presumably in Indiana (a road sign shows Fort Wayne 137 miles away). Returning to the Quentin Carnival, Ghost Rider reverts to his alter ego in time to perform his motorcycle exhibition. Among the audience members are Harry Donovan, his girlfriend Shirley Watkins, and her (secret) lover Burt. Shirley is so taken with the performance that she stops to give Johnny Blaze her number before going out for a night on the town with Burt. The next day, Donovan returns to the carnival drunk and incensed, believing that Shirley was unfaithful with Blaze the night before. Ralph Quentin brandishes a shotgun to scare Donovan off. Soon after, Corky Franklin receives a telegram from his son Elliot, setting up the Circus of Crime story in Ghost Rider #72 - Temptations and Ghost Rider #73 - Tears of a Clown!. Donovan returns that evening, determined to get even with Blaze by running his down with a stolen bulldozer. Burt and Shirley are also on hand for the denouement as the Ghost Rider emerges during Donovan's rampage.
