    Origin

    General Bridges, a.k.a. "The Old Man", was the head of The Cape, where missile and robotics expert Walter Lawson had been transferred. Unbeknownst to Bridges, Walter Lawson was killed before he ever arrived at The Cape by Colonel Yon-Rogg of The Kree Imperial Army. Lawson's identity was taken by Captain Mar-Vell who arrived in his place to study Earth's advances in missile technology.

    General bridges was created by Stan Lee, Roy Thomas and Gene Colan in 1968.

    Major Story Arc

    Ignoring the advise of his Head of Security, Carol Danvers, "Old Man" Bridges showed The Cape's new scientist Walter Lawson the Kree Sentry that was contained in the base. Sentry #459 was shortly activated by Yon-Rogg and attempted to destroy the base, only to be stopped by a then unknown Captain Marvel.
