Gale is a bodybuilder with enhanced strength and a special patient at the Ravencroft Maximum Security Institution. Gale receives treatments from Dr. Kafka to help her control her massive strength and placed in a holding cell with other superhuman patients. The dangerous criminal known as Shriek is transported to Ravencroft to be supervised by Dr. Kafka while John Jameson runs the security command center. Shriek manages to escape and frees several patients including Gale, Webber, Pyromania and Mayhem. Shriek would feed off the pain and suffering caused by Gale and her cellmates. Gale would come into conflict with Spider-Man and John Jameson inside the facility until Shriek turns on the patients she freed. Shriek is finally taken down when Jameson shoots her in the neck with a tranquilizer. Gale, Webber and Pyromania are recovered and safely placed in back-up cells.
Creation
Gale was created by Terry Kavanagh, Mike Lackey and Jerry Bingham in 1994 and first appeared in Web of Spider-Man Annual # 10.
