Who is your favorite omega-level mutant?
My favorite is Icemen. I am glad he finally got a good story in Astonishing showing just how powerful he can truely be and I hope that continues. I would love to see Elixir return from whatever abyss he vanished into. Also I know he is dead now but was Proteus an Omega level mutant.
I guess Vulcan, but I think the whole concept really hurts the Xmen as a whole. There should only be one "Omega" level mutant. Jean Grey.
Hope Summers is pretty much another Jean Grey clone imo. My theory of how she's the mutant messiah and first mutant after m day yadayada is actually Jean's human form after she's already the WPotC..
If that isn't clear enough, Jean Grey gets my vote; I'm heavily biased with her
Next would be Iceman
@fesak: I agree that she is a boring character personality-wise, but you can't say she has NO personality. If anything should define her she is strong-willed. You probably heard the "She chose to die as a human than live as a god" line (DP saga, yes) but there is more depth to her.
Much of this is brought out through other characters. She serves as a foil to Emma Frost, being fiery, passionate, motherly, caring... a story needs to have a character like Jean Grey while Emma is cold and distant. She is also relevant: Cyclops also gets affected with Jean's caring and nurturing personality (lack of) and in turn gets to be even more of a ***** when she died. She's referenced a lot and is randomly thrown in cartoons and issues to be the Deus Ex Machina as a voice, god etc. You can also say she's self-sacrificial because of how she let another woman take her man as well.
In terms of personality, she may be bland, but certainly she has some depth to her character. Characters like Jean Grey and Cyclops are often hated because they are 'bores' and prefer the bamf ones like Wolverine, but without these 'bores' a lot of things fall apart.
Rachel, Jean, - powers very useful even on a daily life.
Hope - i think hope is an omega level mutant. her potential is limitless, especially in the midst of powerful mutants, but put her in a city where there is no mutant/s , what would her powers be?
legion- definitely cool, but the writers should just give him sanity and a few distinct powers he could control
I think emma and psylocke are not omega class mutants but omega class telepaths.
Nope. Emma is an omega class telepath but Psylocke is an Omega level mutant.
i would say Magneto but i know he is not an Omega level mutant, but if memory serves me correctly didnt he at one time possess the power to control the ENTIRE PLANETS electromagnetic all at once. I mean that has to be taken into account to mean something in terms of 'omega' power levels. but if i cant pick him then I'd pick Nate Grey before his recent diluting of his powers. and Iceman as well.
