Extraordinary X-men!

All-New Wolverine and Old Man Logan

This Uncanny X-Men run is looking to be my favorite bearer of that title in a long time. Old Man Logan was also pretty great. These are darker titles, but I don't feel like that's necessarily indicative of my taste.

Extraordinary X-Men is maybe one of the most average, middle-of-the-line major X-Titles I've ever read. I don't think it's awful (except maybe the creepy Jeen/Wolverine dynamic), but it reads as being very recycled and not as thrilling as Ramos' chaotic art would have you expect.

All-New X-Men is also pretty average, although I like the characters a lot less. This book had the most to prove with four time-displaced younger versions of the original saltine X-Men, two clones, and a monumentally-mishandled new-ish character. I really hope this book can do as the characters' intend and change their destiny, but it's looking pretty grim from my perspective.

I am enjoying EXM the most but also like Uncanny. Wolverine, OML, and All New just have not appealed to me.

Honestly? They're all pretty mediocre.

X-books are so safe and conventional now. I feel like I'm reading about a bunch of flatscan normies just going through the motions.
