There are very few x-men titles post secret wars.
@teerack: Some tittles probably will be cancelled so maybe more X-Tittles.
There's really no need for so many x-books in my opinion. Things become redundant and the product becomes watered down. Quantity doesn't equal quality. I mean really how many x-books do we need? And what should be the premises for each one?
In recent years that's been part of the problem. There's no defining premise or mission statement for the teams. Its just a bunch of random teams that are just there for no reason and then the books become aimless and down right stupid and then they get cancelled.
There are only two real X-Men books: Extra and Uncanny. The Scooby Gang, Wolverine/X-23, and Deadpool don't count.
@judasnixon: That's really the best format
Marvel have very meh characters a own comic. When x men have the best ones. Marvel characters should join x mens in comics ,no x men
I remember when there was only two X-Men books, a X-Force, and X-Factor....... I'm old.
the good old days. I miss them
How many X-Men titles should there be? Personally, as long as each title has a specific goal for that group of X-Men, then having this many titles wouldn't be so bad because at least each title would have a specific goal for the X-Men and it wouldn't just be thrown around just because they need an extra X-Men title.

I remember that too, but you're forgetting that there was also Excalibur and X-Men Classic at that time..
If you count all of those, there's been at least 5 X-books at any given time since '88, so this new line is still reining it in a bit.
@oldnightcrawler: I don't remember this too well, but wasn't there only New Mutants and Uncanny for a while during the early 80's?

yeah, well there was only the one X-men book at the start of the 80's.
The New Mutants started in '83, X-Factor and Classic X-Men started in '86, Excalibur started in '88.
So there were already 5 books (plus Wolverine's ongoing) by the time X-Men started in '91.
I'm okay with the number of books, but I'm skeptical of the teams. I just really hope the Cyclops didn't die from Doom. I'm hopeful that he didn't since he is on the cover of Secret Wars #7. I don't want Scott from the displaced X-men to be the permanent Cyclops. I'm going to buy the new comics, but won't hesitate to drop them either.
@mjbiebs: It was confirmed a while ago that Cyclops(and presumably Emma) will be in Uncanny Inhumans.
Two Wolverine titles, Extraordinary X-Men, Uncanny X-Men, All-New X-Men, set to appear in Uncanny Avengers, set to appear in Uncanny Inhumans. Three X-Men books, plus two crossovers, plus two Wolverines and not written by Bendis and all people are saying is, "There are less books". Does anyone remember that the existing X-Men books sucked half the time? If one had now a specific problem with certain characters not appearing sure, but its less books!
