Poll Predict Cyclops' fate (40 votes)
Currently Marvel says that Cyke is dead but there has been some rumors (or maybe just fans with wishful thinking) that it will be revealed that he is still alive during Death of X.
What do you think?

Lol hes going to live.....
But just to throw some doubt in the water...Marvel has recently killed off the Hulk and War Machine as well as many other major characters in the last 4 years. Is it possible that Marvel is building towards a major event similar to DC'S "Brightest Day" where many characters are set to return...Logan, Xavier, and the addition of Cyclops to that list would make the event highly relevant on the X-Men side. So perhaps our illustrious leader of the X-Men really is gone in preparation for another Marvel story down the rode.
He should live, but that might require the kind of good writing that Marvel has lacked in recent years.
@koays: You think they might be doing Heroes Reborn again?
@immolation: Nah....though the current Marvel mindset is very late 90s in concept I don't see something like that..unless you mean like the end where everybody comes back, then yea.
I'm thinking something involving the afterlife and Mephisto or infinity gems as a major plot device. It could be cool...but a lot of the deaths have been swept under then rug or didn't evoke any emotion do to execution so it kind of distracts from the sincerity of a return to Marvel being Marvel.
@koays: I meant Heroes Return, not Reborn. Which is where everyone came back. Eh, I guess it could boost sales. Like when coke made New Coke(which everybody hated) when their sales were low and then created Coke Classic and tripped their sales.
@immolation: That pretty much has been Marvel's strategy everyday since they ended their Heroic Age promotion.

Oh, so it's a strategy? I always thought it was just Marvel f--king up and hitting the reset button.
Cyclops is still alive.
Pending ongoing talks between Fox and Marvel, if they strike a similar deal that was done with Sony, Cyclops will be revealed to still be alive and part of an "illuminati" that includes Beast as they have uncovered that the reason Terrigen Mists are affecting mutants is that... Inhumans ARE mutants. The X gene lay dormant in several strands of the human race ages ago and (save for a couple of individuals) only saw manifestation of their powers in the 20th Century. The Kree recognised the x-gene in several individuals and artificially accelerated the process through pseudo comic science to be able to trigger their powers by using terrigen. Now because millennia (or however long) has passed and the original mutant x-gene was allowed to evolve, it now reacts differently to the artificially evolved x-genes, thus causing "m-pox".
The reason Cyclops' fate is kept secret is part of a massive coverup to avoid widespread panic and confusion among both communities while Beast attempts to find a solution to make mutant biology immune to terrigen.
If talks don't go well between Fox and Marvel...
Cyclops is still alive and is being held on the moon to be watched over by Nick "Watcher" Fury in story limbo.
I was under the impression that 'The Death of X' is a flashback story that explains what lead to Cyclops' death and why the X-Men and Inhumans end up going to war against each other.
