Donna should be showing up soon as well in Superman/Wonder Woman. Maybe the solicits released next week will provide more detail.
Hopefully a team up with Dick Grayson isn't too far down the line.

@captain13: I'll eat my hat if it is. :/
This actually makes me upset, I aint a fan of wally at all, but totally ruin the character, cause why not.
skin color is irrelevant to most characters ,though people don't want to hear it. "being -insert skin color-" isn't a trait of most heroes. They just happen to be -insert skin color-. Most heroes are white because they were created in the 30,s 40s, 50s and 60s...no other reason.
side note why do you always seem to create threads about heroes and race? i seem to remember quite a few like the flash tv series too
Ok, I understand the need for diversity but this technique of changing a character's race, sexuality is weak DC.
Marvel did it a lot better with their new Ms. Marvel and Miles Morales.
Everything pointed towards him being black, so I'm not surprised. I just hope this doesn't become another Human Torch freakout.
It will never really be the old Wally anyway :-/
Hopefully his personality is the same at least
I think Venditti already confirmed in an interview in Newsarama it won't be.

Well it matters to some characters

i didn't say it was irrelevant to all of them. i said most. meaning some it does matter.
Wally is not one of them.
characters that it matters to? my favorite example is Red Skull. Not exactly sure how you're going have Nazi be anything but white.

Buc and Manapul said DC didn't want to bring Wally back too soon because they didn't want people asking when he would be Flash again. Creating a new character named Wally kinda eliminates that fear. People won't want a new character taking over the mantle too soon, and if people ask for Wally, they can say he's already been brought back. :-/
DC has a habit of demoting some characters when they bring in new ones. Tim Drake became "Tim Drake" and never a Robin because DC was pushing Damian and Batman had too many Robins. Kyle Rayner and Wally West took back seats to their predecessors. Jaime Reyes' debut help keep Ted off the table for a while, etc. (I like Jaime, btw.)
I also think DC will try to bring back the fab-five-era teen titans soon as well to compete with the All New X-Men. I guess that could be done well.
LAAAAAAAMMMMME!!!!! I'm sick of this "diversity" crap. If companies want to show it, then create new and interesting characters! I didn't mind Alan Scott being gay since it is an alternate earth and all, but when something happens like this on main earth, it seems like a total cop out.
Aww, I was hoping it would be a picture of him as The Flash or Impulse or whatever name he'll take :(
If he has the same personality i don't mind or maybe this is like with kid flash now not really wally? Still i'll wait to read about him before i give my judgement i have no problem with him being bi racial.
It isnt same thing. Miss Marvel and Miles are new Characters. Wally and Allan Scott are old characters.

Exactly. Marvel actually gave it a little thought and introduced new characters to take the place of old fan favorites. And both of these new characters are fan-favorites now!
While DC, just sticks the name of an old character in a completely new one, alienating the fan-base of these characters who had indentified with them.
And to be honest, I never was a particular fan of either characters (Wally,Allan) so I don't care really, I just think it is a bad business tactic.
I actually dont mind at all if done right. Wally West´s race never was the core of the character maybe he being red head or funny one but not being white. If Wonder Woman was (official) glbt character wouldnt change her character core or Batman or Superman being black.
Oh god Breth Booth sucks at drawing the Flash they should have put the team that did Flash Annual #2

You've gathered as much from that tiny panel? Because I've seen plenty of evidence to support the contrary.
You're kidding? It looks to me like they got a preview and just cropped one of the panels out and called the kid Wally. Plus, that guy looks kind of dead.

Time travel is a key part of the story arc
@jaken7: I read the preview at Newsarama is really dislike him
@captain13: Yeah but I thought that the one time traveling would be John Fox, not Wally or Barry
Everyone complains about Wally not being introduced.
Wally is introduced.

Perfectly good reason for that. That isn't Wally.
@arturocalakayvee: Oh no, he's not white! Blasphemy!
Seriously, read the comic before you claim he's a different character. To me, things like how the character is written means more than the color of his skin and hair.
Skin color doesn't matter at all.
The reason most superheroes are posed as caucasoids is because racism was going on.
Think about it , let's pick out Superman .
An alien that serves as a Caucasian citizen in Metropolis but his colors are " red and blue " meaning U.S.A meaning that White Americans save the world , whites were supremacists . It all leads back to racism .
But I do not care of the race of any character .
For example , my favorite superhero is Green lantern .
The reason is because they are all diverse .
Hal Jordan - Caucasian
Kyle Rayner : Latino/Hispanic
John Stewart : African American
While there is another one that is Asian obviously but not named .
People should care mostly of their personalities and powers and history now .
@knightofthechronicle: That wasn't stated in anything I read, only that the blue time traveler is a future flash
@captain13: When I read time traveling flash though I just assumed that it was Fox. Anyway, I'm just going to remain skeptical that the kid's Wally until the book comes out.
If it is Wally then I'm totally fine with it, but just the way that he's lying on the ground makes him look dead.
wait.....
so the Fastest flash....
is black now.
I call racism.
LOL!!!!
Haha hilarious , combined humor with a topic of comics !
If there was a like button , you'd be top comment .

This.
@saren@deranged_midget The profile pic for Wally shows the future Flash who is not confirmed to be Wally, so maybe you want to change it.
I just don't understand why DC change the skin color or the sexual orientation of a character just for the sake of it.There is no reason in doing that rather than diversity.
Well, diversity is a reason on its own...
The problem here is that Wally is a pre-existing character, he has fan base that loves him for who he is, they identify with him and frankly there is always a small part of us that doesn't like change, so changing the appearance of said character completely (look how people raged over Barry not being blonde for the TV show) will alienate said fanbase.

And it seems like DC doesn't understand that. They change already existing characters and everything about them without even thinking about their fanbase and how people would react. It is always bad when something that you like changes completely but it seems like they just don't care.
