Titans Comics Announces Doctor Who​ ​Miniseries Starring the ​N​inth ​D​octor

Like many, I always felt Christopher Eccleston's tenure as the Doctor was too brief. I would have loved to see more adventures with him and even what happened before that Doctor Who series began. Thanks to Titan Comics, looks like we'll get to see the ninth Doctor in comic form at least. He's even bringing a couple friends along.

The comic is headed our way on March 11, 2015. Mark your calendar. Or time travel to March if you have access to a TARDIS and let us know how cool the first issue is.

Eccleston played a very different Doctor. I loved that season.

It was crap.

Reserving this will be the first order of business when I get to my LCS next. I'm enjoying the 10th Doctor on-going. Glad to have a chance to see more of the 9th as well. Getting a little wistful just at the thought of seeing Rose again.

I liked 9. Tenant just annoyed me when he got all goofy. Like that timey-wimy stuff. Maybe its because 10 was around for so long, that I just got tired of him. Wish we got more 9. & more of 11.

But then I hear that Chris doesnt want to remembered as a Doctor, he wanted to leave after one season & it wouldnt surprise me if the War Doctor was originally supposed to be 9. But yes, with comics & I'd prefer, animation, we could get more stories of the various doctors, especially the older ones who cant really do much on screen. Plus, they wont be around for ever, they should try & get as much out of them as possible.

The audios with him are really good, if you check them out. I think there's like 6 or 7 seasons of audios, then a couple things, then the new season that is a pre-Time War build-up arc (Dark Eyes is part 1 IIRC, but I haven't gotten to listen to it yet).

Yeah, I have a big interest in the Eighth Doctor, and the audio dramas are probably how I can get to know him better. I bought a book on McGann's Doctor yesterday, and I've heard half of Storm Warning which I liked.

@eric8a92: The Eighth Doctor novels from the Nineties are pretty good, though I would say the best are after the "destruction" of Gallifrey (long story) when he lost his memory temporarily.
