New 'Supergirl' Trailer Has Never-Before-Seen Footage

A new trailer has been released for the upcoming Supergirl show on CBS. The pilot has been shown at San Diego Comic-Con and now we can see some new action-packed footage.

I still don't get why she has blue heat vision.

Like the lack of verisimilitude its got a hookey Silver Age vibe.

Blue heat vision will take some getting used to. I get it blue pops more, but red is supposed to be the Kryptonian go to laser vision color so the nerd in me is nitpicking in overdrive seeing it, lol.

Maybe, they're trying to make Supergirl unique and different from Superman. But assuming that Superman does have red-heat vision in the show, any Kryptonian would have his same-color vision. Supergirl should have the same.

Also, the blue-heat vision doesn't sound like a heat ray to me. It's more like cold ray.

It's about time they stopped milking that pilot. I can't wait for this show to start.

Uh, just gonna throw this out here... We didn't see the so-called "heat vision" melt anything or hit anything.... That could just be how they show her using X-Ray vision? WE can see it but no one else can?

A lot of the time when it's shown the eyes glow blue and there's a blue beam coming from them

For all those wonder why she has blue heat vision is that blue fire is hooter than red fire. I'm guessing there applying the same idea here.

the bar for Live action comic tv shows is so high , ever since Smallville , so many shows have tried , right now Arrow and The Flash are the only shows to show that they can surpass the bar with Aos trailing , I feel Supergirl might be the one to finally surpass that bar

I don't understand why people are complaining about blue heat. Why is that a bad thing? It perhaps helps distinguish Supergirl's character and action from all the other special effects. Either way, I doubt it diminishes what she'll do.

I still wish they didn't go with such a plain supersuit. Not a fan of the skirt look.

@smart_dork_dude: well, because blue flames are hotter than red, so my guess is they're trying to fit that into the whole "she's actually more powerful than Superman because she wasn't raised here as an infant so she's less restrained" idea. That's my theory anyway. And like @LordRyus said, blue pops more.
