Amazing Spider-Man #1 Mistake?

read it online for free. no such panels.

I found the mistake in a digital copy FROM the Marvel website, so unless one of the employees is playing a joke I don't think it's a mistake. Download the free issue from Marvel and go to the second story in #1 "Spider-Man versus the Chameleon" on the second page. Or perhaps check your reprint ?  :)

Hidden origin revealed.

@TheTimShow: i'm telling you man. its not there. i did read the online free copy. its not there. it doesnt even match your panel's design, the colors are really bright in the online version. and my reprint doesnt have it. so come on really where did you get it?

I think some of the originals did have this mistake in them (this isn't the first time I've heard of it). Stan Lee kinda sucked at remembering names, so I believe it.

There might have been 2 prints, the first being incorrect and the second printing corrected the mistake. I will literally scan my kindle to show you. Hold on...

@Mycroftian: stan lee is known for naming his character a la PP(peter parker), BB(bruce banner). so its easy to remember. i doubt he would forget their names.

That's a legit error in the original print. When I worked at a comic store in the 90's my boss showed it to me.

but the print really does say parker. dont know where palmer came from.

When they restored it they must have corrected a few things as well.

In the original they made this mistake, in reprints they corrected it.

Similarly, in ASM #3 Dr Octopus calls Spider-man 'Superman' at one point.

I have read the issue again and everytime he is mentioned Peter Palmer appears. So in his first appearance the Chamaleon didn't fought Peter Parker, he fought Peter Palmer.

I found this in Superior Spider-Man #9 when Otto was doing the mind-wipe. Just look at the red oval I made. 'Palmer' is mentioned. Interesting.
