Liev Schreiber Says He Wants to be "Old Man Sabretooth" in Next Wolverine Movie

There hasn't been too much news about the next Wolverine movie sequel. Hugh Jackman has stated that it will be his last time as Wolverine and everyone is saying it'll be based on the Old Man Logan arc. If this is the last time we see Jackman as Wolverine, could we see one last encounter between Wolverine and Sabretooth? Liev Schreiber would be up for that.

On Jimmy Fallon's Tonight Show, Fallon brought up Hugh Jackman. They also discussed Jackman's workout regime. Schreiber joked he wasn't sure if wanted to work out like that and joked in a Twitter reply to Jackman. This brought about speculation of him appearing as Sabretooth in the next movie. When asked if he'd do it, Schrieber stated he didn't know if he was invited and added, "Well, you know. There's Old Man Logan, there could be Old Man Sabretooth." Then he gives his impression on how it could go.

What do you think? Would you want to see Old Man Sabretooth?

Sounds cool to me. Sabretooth was a loose end for too long, they need to give him some kind of wrap-up.

Him and Hugh were the only good things about Origins so I'm all for it.

I'd love this, Liev made Sabretooth one of my top cbm villains so getting him on-board would be cool.

With time being altered by days of future past, wolverine should hav a rematch with silver samurai, lady deathstrike, sabretooth and finally face off against omega red with William stryker behind all of this conflict.

I hope they don't do Old Man Logan. They can't even use most of the main characters: Hulk, Hawkeye, Spider-man references, etc.

Old Man Logan? I mean how? I guess all the characters are alive again but doesn't Logan kill them all in the beginning of the comic arc? Would they really do that? And like many others have pointed out how would it work with all the copyrighted characters they can not use?

I'm all up for this, doing something different for the final Wolverine movie would be good.

Old Man Logan wouldn't work without the MCU characters. The way I think how the story goes, is that Xavier will tell Logan he had a son, Daken killing innocent people either for pleasure or due to his berserker rage. Of course, Logan never had a son in the previous movies, but due to the timeline change, anything can happen. They can adapt the Original Sin story.

old man logan is way too depressing.

It should be about daken. Either have it where yuriko had him in this alternate timeline and he comes to destroy the school. Or have it be that wolverine finds out about him, trains him and then sabretooth comes, wolverine dies in the battle and daken takes his place. But god, no old man logam.

People saying its a good idea never read Old Man Logan, or else they'd realize how lame this movie will be. Hawkeye is literally Wolverine's sidekick in the book. You'd have to change out every character with some Mutant replacement, and that's just not going to work

Although I understand that it would be Old Man Logan in name only that doesn't change the fact that Hugh Jackman's Wolverine as an "Old Man" has plenty of story potential with out the appearance of Hawkeye or Hulks or Spider People, and in the world where the X-Men films take place Sabertooh is the natural choice for Wolverines final opponent. A film adaptation of a book does not have to replicate the original work word for word or character for character so long as it remains true to the themes and intent of the original work.

People in the comments seem to forget that he can do Old Man Logan, without following the Old Man Logan graphic novel, it's probably just inspired by it, and not going to be just like it.

Liev is kick ass. I watched X-Men Origins: Wolverine again not long ago just because he was in it, and that is the only reason. =I

He was the only actually good part of origins and he's a great actor so if they had an actual good script he'd be great.

I'd love to see it. He was fine as in X-Man Origins, can't say the same for the film. Having Sabertooth in the film would give a lot of continuity and help to tie things up.

Liev is an excellent actor, i'm all for it. As long as it doesn't affect ray donovan for next season.
