How did you come up with your characters name?

shayla is my little sisters name

and we call her sha sha so i just took that for inspiration

No idea. I did it so I could change my powers whenever I wanted leaving the limits of which unknown: a mystery.

A horse named ElusiveStorm, he was the greatest longshot in the first race i ever saw him participate in, i picked him because in life, i'm a longshot. During ElusiveStorm's first race, he was in the back of the pack until the mid-way point where he had cut loose and blew the competition away and kept racing, never tirin out until far after the race. i see so much of myself in that horse that i knew that would be my secondary name.

When i made the character I wanted to think of something electrical and was skimming through ideas.  Morte actually came up with the name and after I thought about it it made sense.

Old nicknames, old character that I created when I was a kid.... and T.V. ^^

Babs and I looked up Creole and Cajun names and came up with it.

My current name was first created in the non-canon RPG The CV... (it died T_T) ...where my character had the ability to manipulate darkness. Twilight is when day turns into night, right? (Or the opposite, but I didn't think of it then.) When I decided to create a new character, many elements from my character from The CV was borrowed to my current canon character. (And I now have both power over light and darkness, so it makes even more sense now, right? No? That's just because I have more powers than that XP) ^^

well i know some spanish and i always thought that the word primavera was pretty plus its my favorite season spring.  plus in my bio it explains that my parents were named invierna and Verano which is a play off spanish seasons

my first rpg character Lionel and i couldn't think of a last name so i used the fact he was a bounty hunter for the last name

Uh, it's from the Slingers a Spider-Man team thing. His real name is just my name though.

I came up with my character's name to represent my heritage - The Spartan.

As for his real name, Demetrius Arkelis, I used two things.  Demetrius - the character from The Robe.  Arkelis - translated into "the beginning" in the form of a last name.

Off a news story where someone's last name was Jacks. Jacks sounded awesome to me so I added an X and wammo Jax. At first I wanted my characters name to be Sincillian or Lucifer or Akio or Katsutoshi.

I wanted to pay homage to my two favorite Characters Nightwing and Hal Jordan so I used Renegade Lantern

Nigthwing was once called Renegade and Hal was once a Renegade Lantern so the name stuck

I took it from a game. I chose Augustus as my last name since it means something else in Latin.

Was trying to mix the names of my two favorite characters (Batman and Nightwing) somewhere along the way the part of "hunter" arrived

Andferne is a nickname of mine and one I use often

I like to eat bagels....hence, Obi Wan  Kenobi...lol ok that made no sense whatsoever....

Cryo-Wolf

Cryo- Taken from Cryogenics, the study of the production of low temperatures(below -238 F) and the behavior of materials at those temperatures. Further more, Cryo can be taken from Cryonics(no relation to Cryogenics), the low-temperature preservation of humans and animals that can no longer be sustained by contemporary medicine until rescuscition is possible in the future. Basically, Cryo is from either the study of freezing temperatures or keeping someone alive by freezing them. I wanted my character to control ice and water(I know he's mainly water, but Hydro-Wolf just sounds stupid), since that was my favorite element. So, when I thought of Ice(I was so close to naming him Ice-Wolf) I thought of the prefix for it, which was Cryo, so there was the first part. When I found out about Cryonics, it made me sure that that's what I wanted his name to be, since he's a hero and cryonics is keeping people alive.

Wolf- Duh. He's a werewolf. Not much explanation there. His two main powers are his control of water and werewolf powers, so combine the two words and BOOM. My character.

Ghoul

So, when I first made Ghoul(which was in fact waaaaaay before CV) I was watching a Teen Titans episode. Raven was one of my favorite characters back then. So I drew this punk looking girl, had her hair over one eye, and had her hand glowing purple. I wanted a character that was like Raven and her magic, but more ghostly, like intangibility, phasing, possesion and all that. I made her a ghost, and when I tried thinking of a name that wasn't ghost, Ghoul came to mind.

SoundStryker

No one knows who SoundStryker is. Everyone knows who Bruce Marxism is. They're the same person. My other two main characters had code names, so I wanted Bruce to have one too. I went over all these different musical terms and whatnot in my head. But then, I broadened it to sound after I thought of his soundwave manipulation. So I thought of sound, and I wanted to have a real catchy name that had to do with him using sound as his power and his attacks(he gains powers through music), so from there I came up with SoundStryker. I just modified the spelling of Striker(Y seems cooler) and capitalized the second S so it looks cooler when you type it. ^_^

Not sure how I came up with "Drifter", However, I do know how I came up with his real name....

His real name is "Jack W. Castle"

Jack for Jack Hawksmoor, W for Wade Wilson (Deadpool's real name), and Castle, as in Punisher's last name.

i wanted something short and exitoic. so i thought up lya. something easy, i know its spelt differt, but at the time i never heard of a person called lya. then i changed it to something more proper, lillya. something almost like a bitter innocence. then i wanted something even more Exotic and hot, something both sweet and dark, And something not many have heard before, so i came up with lillyana. Then i took wild for i have a wild side that is rich and free, Then the fact that i am a child in heart and innocent in soul, So put it all together i found out what i really am, I am a child that is timeless as the wild heart beating within the world. Sweet and fair to the eyes and ears, but also if not treated right, i can be harsh and unforgiving. I am alone and down alot, like a lilly floating alone in the waters flowing forever with the river. or as bright as a blood red lilly that holds its own ground, Can go for years without dieing, always comign to bloom in the spring and fadding with the winters snow. thus what is in my name, is what i am inside. For I am Lillyana WildChild.

The Gloom username came because my first character had powers related to death and darkness.

Madison, I picked because I wanted her to be insane (Maddy).

De Fourcaux is the name of the forest in which Madison was born, and dryads use birth forests as surnames.

Oh and Pixelized was a freakin mistake.

Well, Risky is pretty easy: This is a nickname she got from some soldiers on the military station where her father was stationned. She always did the most silly and dangerouse things (lying down for a tank to drive over her, jjugglinng with 5 grenades at once, such stuff) and someday the soldiers started calling her Risky instead of Ruby. She was about 14 at that time. It is similiar enough to her real name to make a nice pun and sounds cool and cute at the same time.

 Ruby I chose because I like that name. Theodora (her second name which she hates) I chose because it sounded old and her father gave her that name after his own mother. Glassmann I chose because I wanted her to have a German Jewish heritage somewhere along the line (I'm German myself and I thought it was cool for her to be a Jew, somehow surprising) and Glassmann is an old Jewish name. (And it corresponds with Ruby because many Jews traded in Jewels in the dark ages).
