josiah was feeling a little insulted. His first meeting with the Vine City police had been a success in some ways, but a disaster in others. The police had readily approved him for active duty in Vine City, especially after learning he had no powers (somewhat insulting in itself), but they weren't taking him too seriously. josiah had refrained from telling them anything about his past, so they assumed he was relatively new to the crime fighting game. They thought maybe he'd been a minor success in some small town and had decided to come to the big city to try his luck. The fact that he wore normal looking street clothes and no mask probably didn't help any. For all they knew, he wasn't even an actual crime fighter. 'Fine,' josiah thought, 'I don't need their confidence. It just would have made things a little easier.'

josiah was currently walking through the Pine Grove shopping mall, on his way to investigate the only case the police had told him about, a Beanie Baby pirating ring. josiah didn't even see how it was a police matter, he thought it should have been handled by lawyers, but he wasn't going to reject the only case they would give him. 'Besides,' he reminded himself, 'the people behind this probably make more in a week than the purse-snatchers and muggers I usually pick up make in their whole lives, and I'm sure they're not doing something nice with that money.'

Strolling casually into Binky's, the upscale toy store the majority of the pirated Beanie Babies were supposedly being sold from, josiah walked up to a clerk and asked to see the manager. 'I'll just have a little chat, and see what he knows,' josiah thought. Of course, the manager didn't have to tell him anything, and josiah was a little worried the conversation would end with him being escorted from the mall by security guards. “Manager's busy,” the clerk mumbled, glancing at josiah, “he asked 'not to be disturbed for any reason, whatsoever.' Is there anything I can help you with?” the clerk asked, looking like he really hoped there wasn't anything he could help josiah with. josiah muttered something about business matters and wandered around the store for a few minutes, looking at the various toys being sold. Passing the stuffed animals and looking at the presumably fake Beanie Babies, he felt apathy suddenly strike. 'Why am I doing this?' he wondered, 'I should just go home, at least there they didn't give me intellectual property infringement cases.' Leaning on a shelf, he gazed into the eyes of a little bear that was apparently named “Buckminster” and had a birthday coming up. 'But I can't go home, can I?' Standing, he looked out the window towards the mall entrance, where he could see the early evening lights of Vine City shining. 'This is my home, now.'

Checking to see if anyone was watching, josiah ducked through a door marked “Employees Only.” He walked slowly and stealthily through a stockroom, past a breakroom, and into a hallway leading to a closed door with a sign that said “Manager” on it. Creeping down the hallway, he could hear noises coming from behind the door. 'Great,' josiah thought, 'I hope he didn't want to be undisturbed because he's-' his thoughts were interrupted by a muffled scream from the office.

The slinky woman sat in a chair; she had a huge desk in front of her. Numerous people in suits stood around, just on post the others' were rigorously at work stuffing cocaine into the beanie babies. Shee sat looking at the camera, that was focused on the front of the story. She grimiaced a bit at the  fact that there was a man pestering her Manager. Her pit-bull lay at her feet gnawing on a bone. Numerous Holy relics loomed in her chamber, There was an inverted pentagram that was bound to the wall behind her, she sat in the middle of the masonic floor in between the masonic pilliars, no doubt a follower of occultism. Shee had a Hattori Hanzo Sword with her name engraved in it, she was repeatedly unsheathing and seathing her blade. Soon a woman came in carrying a man, whom had been bloody, he’d been beaten, he’d been drugged. The woman dropped him on the floor in front of Y, the pit-bull began to bark.   The agents in the room moved around the man holding him up in front of Y, the man seemed to come back to consciousness when Y moved towards him.

“Look at you...You’re so nosy, snooping around the store, you found out about our little secret” The man struggled to pull his head up, but when he did so he let out a deafening scream “ILUMINATI!!! ILUMINATI!”   Y ran her hands through her cold, yet graceful raven hair and flashed a smile “No were not the Illuminati, were an opponent far more menacing, where’re the Green Dragons” The man had never seen Y before; his face showed his ignorance, his eyes mirrored his brain’s confusion. Y moved towards him and began speaking again.

“Hear me! My name, as I appear to you today…Is Zing XIAO the Y intercept. This world of ours is a crude one; in a word… it is incomplete. It has been and will always be a struggle to survive in this world. We humans and animals are likewise incomplete; because we fight, we maim, IT IS UGLY! I hate the Incompleteness. We are all incomplete; I hate it with my entire body and being!   The world will be complete, the world must change! Who will change it… me Zing and The Green Dragons.”

The man seemed to be struggling as Y spoke; she unsheathed her sword and teased his neck with it. The man ceased his struggles and Y started again; this time pointing at her members around the man.

“Yes...You together, we’d pour over myths and exposed the secrets, we captured age old documents and secretes of the world.. Now, the dragons and I have obtained the technology to change the world. The power of dreams is in our grasp. UNDERSTAND IT Dragons!!!!,” the man began shaking in fear as Y moved back and forth, with her sword still molesting the man’s skin. Y once again addressed The Dragons.

“My long held dream world is on the verge of being a reality, all those heading into the city and those who will remain here… Our missions may differ, our hearts beat as one,LET THERE BE GLORY!!! FOR THE GREEN DRAGONS!” she screamed at the top of her lungs with her teeth clenched. Her face was turning red, with her veins pulsating. she swung her sword around and cleanly removed the head of the man. Taking a cloth she wiped the blade of the blood and then seathed it again.

“Send his family, a dozen of lilies and orchids, and his head” she turned her attention to the man who was  questioning her manager, her faced grimaced. she pushed a button on the desk and an intercom link opened. “Send in Fred” a huge man with cybernetic implants walked through the threshold. He was a ginger, a very muscular build holding a cigar, he had a massive power shotgun in his hands and he just stood with a grin on his face.

“How are you old friend?” Y asked with a smile on her face. They shook each other’s hand and quickly got down to business. “I want these American Agents dead” The man blew a smoke ring and nodded, looked around the room and gave thumbs up. Y then moved towards the back room; she could feel the vibrations within the floor something was moving irratically. "On second thoughts, everyone search the perimeter, she said turning off the lights. As she did so she switched to her night vision glasses, and ,slowly creapt around the corner. As she did she caught glimpse of a man spying on them. "It's rude to eaves drop" she said trying to kick him in the chest, towards the storage room.

josiah stood in the hallway for several minutes, trying to discern what was going on inside the office. The scream he had heard earlier had not been a scream of fear or pain, as he had first thought, but a scream of rage and triumph. A woman had distinctly shrieked out, "LET THERE BE GLORY!!! FOR THE GREEN DRAGONS!" After that, though, josiah couldn't hear much. The few sounds he could hear didn't sound like the sounds that should be coming from a toy store manager's office, though.

Suddenly, all the lights in the hallway went out. 'Okay, here we go,' josiah thought. His eyes were quickly adjusting to the near total darkness, but he was still surprised when a woman suddenly appeared in front of him and said, "It's rude to eaves drop," then tried to kick him in the chest.

His body tensed instinctively for battle, but he also felt an irresistible thrill running down his spine. There was no mistaking the Fury in front of him for a hero, her face twisted with rage and hate. For the first time since coming to Vine City, josiah was going to be able to completely unleash on someone without worrying whether he was making a mistake. josiah didn't relish the thought of fighting a woman, but his ruthlessness and his frustration at having to hold back for so long guaranteed he was going to give everything to this fight. Either he or the woman was going to be in the hospital by the end of the night.

Watching the woman's leg swiftly arc towards his chest, josiah knew he didn't have much time to plan a complex battle strategy, so he simply decided to take an aggressive stance. Swiftly rotating his body out of the path of his attacker's foot, he threw his body against the wall of the hallway. Then, using all of his strength, he flung himself back off the wall and towards the woman. Using his momentum, he fired his own kick towards the exposed side of the woman's hip. If his kick landed, and if she was a normal human, his kick would probably shatter her pelvis or the upper part of her femur.

The Apex Predator eye’s quickly refocused after the young Elliot Ness, dodged her strike. He was quick, but being quick was not enough to get the best of the jaded snake.  It only agitated her a bit to the fact that she couldn’t really figure out what dragged him here. The Lights around them continued to flicker, a solitary water drop could be heard through the blanketing Silence every few Minutes or So.  The snake has extra sensory, glands within it’s head, this allows it to pick up body heat, and movements on the ground. Y herself was no snake; and despite having the nickname “The Jaded Viper” in this dark hollow and chilling room, she could tell when he was going to move.

The viper happened to be particularly that much more dangerous when concealed by a cast of light. She could strike without being seen, thanks to her sleek black leather uniform and dim lightening.  As he went to kick, why caught on to his location and dropped her arm so that she could cushion the blow from her attacker. She could feel the powerful jolt from being struck in that area, it caused her to stumble back a bit, The jaded viper removed her empty hilt from the side of her uniform and then let out a divine smile. Pushing the hilt down towards the ground a flash came from her, without warning several sword shard emerged from the ground and quickly sped towards him

. Y didn’t wait to see if they hit him or not, she quickly rose to her feet and then sprinted down the hallway towards, as she got close to him, she slid on the ground and then used her hands to push up; she attempted a kick towards Josiah’s lower stomach followed by a leg sweep.

Quicker than a snake striking, the woman moved her arm to block josiah's kick. josiah could feel her body give way somewhat under his blow, but it still felt like he'd kicked a marble statue. “Okay, so she's not a normal human,” josiah realized.
His eyes were nearly completely adjusted to the darkness when he was suddenly startled by a flash of light. The woman had struck her sword on the floor, causing sparks to shoot out. In the sudden illumination, josiah could clearly see the woman. She was intensely beautiful, but her beauty was suffused with a palpable evil, as if the Mona Lisa had been painted in human blood. What's more, josiah recognized her. “Y Intercept,” he thought, recalling his files. josiah didn't have much time to remember his opponent's particulars, however, as shards of metal were currently flying towards him. Instinctively shielding his eyes with his arms, he could feel the sting of the tiny fragments striking his body. Lowering his arms slightly, he watched Y Intercept flying towards him in a flawless kick. josiah barely had time to admire her form as he shifted his arms to block the strike. Her movements were elegant and beautiful, unlike his own brutal and unrefined fighting style. When her kick struck him, he was thrown backwards down the hall. “She's too powerful,” josiah decided, “I'm going to have to try something else.” Looking around, he saw he'd been thrown back into the stockroom of the store. There, on a shelf, was a child's aluminum baseball bat. While far too small for josiah to use for baseball, it was perfect for inflicting damage on a human body. Grabbing the bat, josiah sprinted back down the hall towards Y Intercept. Using all his strength, he swung the bat towards his opponent's left outer thigh. He was aiming for her sciatic nerve, josiah knew hitting that would bring down even the most powerful warrior as they would temporarily lose control over much of their body.

Y’s heart rate stayed resting, however she could feel the cool chill from the warehouse creep up her spine freezing her nipples to the bone. As she took a few breaths she could see her cool and crisp breath as it had been released from her lips. The “Apex Predator”  studied his movements closely.
As she kicked him back he stumbled into the stockroom of the store; he had to come towards her now as he was at a dead end. The Jaded Snake, stalked her prey like the menacing black Mamba, slowly but with grace, and there was nothing on her mind but sinking the teeth of her Green Dragon blade into his guall bladder and watching as his body pissed blood.
Y smiled, though she could not exactly see what was happening she knew, she had the young intruder on the ropes. However something shiny briefly cut the darkness, as she was ready to take a defensive stance,  as she took one step back he smacked her in her thigh with what appeared to be an aluminum bat.
The snaked grimaced, and then tumbled to the ground, the pain relayed through her legs into her muscle temporarly downing the snake. Using her arms, she pulled back on the door threshold using it to pull her body away from him. Grabbing onto a nearby table she climbed up it to try and gain a vertical base, one supported by the table. “Not bad…” Y said rubbing her hands over her tender area.
As she stroked her thigh, she grimaced in pain, as it was clear that she had not planned on taking any substantial damage. She could feel Satan tugging at her souless body he was ready to finally show his hand in this fight. The viper’s eyes flashed a pearl purple, hoisting her hands up she fired a powerful  kinetic blast from her palms towards him, the blast made impact destroying the stockroom completely exposing the back of the warehouse to the rest of the world. Y didn’t want to use her powers, but she knew with a handicapped status she would have to.

josiah allowed himself a subtle smirk as he stalked toward his fallen opponent. His gambit had worked exactly the way he'd hoped, although she didn't seem quite as affected by the blow as he'd expected. As he approached, Y crawled away from him like a wounded lioness. “We're almost done here,” josiah thought, “just one more little love tap to the side of her head and the police can handle the rest.”

In his moment of confidence, josiah decided to finally review what he knew about Y Intercept. “General badass, got a special sword. Hmm, 'Kinetic Energy Manipulation.' I wonder what that means.” At that moment, Y pointed her hands towards him and her eyes flashed purple. Knowing that was a very bad sign, josiah leapt forward and to the right. He was able to avoid the main part of the blast, but the air expanding behind him propelled him at incredible speeds towards the nearest wall. Instinctively cradling the bat into his chest, josiah barely had time to choke out a vicious oath before his body struck the wall. Punching cleanly through both layers of sheet rock, josiah landed on a table in the next room, which promptly collapsed under his weight.

Standing groggily to his feet, josiah idly thought to himself that that was probably what “Kinetic Energy Manipulation” was. He was a little disoriented and he was sure his body would be incredibly sore the next morning, but the trip through the wall didn't seem to have done too much damage. Although, from the pain in his chest, he thought he had probably cracked one of his ribs with the bat. Carefully inspecting the bat itself, it looked none the worse for wear.

Looking around at the room he'd unintentionally entered, josiah was startled at what he saw. The cloth shells of hundreds of stuffed animals littered nearby tables, along with piles of what he guessed was cocaine. “This definitely goes beyond simple trademark infringement,” he thought, “although with Y Intercept here, I should have suspected it was something sinister.”

Pointing himself back toward the hole he'd made in the wall, josiah started sprinting, then jumped forward. If all went as planned, he would suddenly emerge from the hole, surprising his opponent on the other side. He estimated she'd have about a quarter of a second to react before he was on top of her. She was fast, but he didn't think even she was that fast. Emerging from the hole, he swung the bat behind his head, then rocketed it downwards in a wood chopping motion. He was aiming directly for Y Intercept's skull. He hated to resort to such a potentially fatal attack, but based on what he'd seen of her abilities, he thought she could probably survive it. At most, it would put her into a coma.

The wounded snake smiled as her blast knocked him into an adjacent room; as the wall collapsed a huge dust veil of cocaine, began to shroud the air. Y continued to stroke her injured thigh as it was still to tender for her to work on. It was still only a matter of time before she would be able to accurately use it, her Parkour skills, while rarely used would come in hand here. He hadn’t taken the full blunt of any attack that she had thrown out, so she didn’t know exactly where is body was in terms of damage. “Damn…it no good” she said using the very little English that she could muster up. The Viper could feel a motion within the cold ground she layed on, he was on the move again, and sure enough he jumped through the hole he had been knocked in previously. Seeing this Y grabbed hold of her Mystic Green Dragon Blade, thinking that play time was over.   He quickly came across the floor; the wounded predator quickly went into survival mode; He was trying to bash her skull with that child bat, while it was effective enough to injure a one, it would take more than one Shot to incapacitate someone who’s fought with god before. Despite this she didn’t allow the bat to connect, putting her blade up, the folded steel from the durable blade, mixed with the force behind his swing should have shattered the Aluminum bat. Y smiled and then turned her Sword to the wooden table leg that was on her right side, once again knocking a whole pile of Cocaine in the air, this was good for Y for three reasons. One, She could use the cocaine as a temporary dust cloud, Two, there was a chance that he would get addicted, and Three as she was already addicted to it; she would gradually feel no pain, which means the playing field would soon be leveled.

josiah rolled to a stop against the far wall and glanced down at what had previously been an aluminum bat. Now, most of it was missing and what remained was twisted unrecognizably. “That really is a special sword,” he thought. Turning, he saw a cloud of white powder approaching. “Diabolical,” he muttered as the cloud engulfed him. josiah quickly pulled his shirt up over his mouth and nose to block as much of the powder as he could. His eyes were still uncovered, though, and he knew the cocaine would quickly be absorbed through his mucous membranes. He was naturally resistant to most drugs, but he could still feel his heart starting to race and the pain in his chest beginning to fade.

josiah tossed away the chunk of metal he was holding and swiftly cut towards his right. Slinking quietly through the dust, he began trying to find his opponent. Suddenly, his foot struck something. Reaching down, he grabbed a thick wooden leg which seemed to have been cleaved cleanly off of a table. “Good,” he thought, “this should make a handy bludgeon.”

Grasping the table leg, he continued circling through the cloud. It seemed to be clearing slightly, and he wasn't sure if that was a good thing or a bad thing. He would be able to find the woman more easily, but she would also be able to find him. “As long as she doesn't do that kinetic thing again, I think I'll be alright,” he decided. He was starting to feel slightly disoriented, more from the drugs than the cloud obscuring his vision. Suddenly a human figure emerged from the obscurity in front of him. It was Y Intercept. Grunting, josiah swung the leg in a wide arc towards her left side. It was a desperate shot, but he was getting pretty desperate.

As the smoke began to clear, Y stood straight up staring at the young man, however now she was become slightly disappointed. While he showed his resourcefulness in his movements, he did not however seem to know what he was doing;maybe this was coming from the surprise of not knowing he was going to be found out, or whatever but the fight was pretty much just him doing whatever he could do to hurt Y. “Boy, do you not have a fighting style?” Y said swaying out of the way of his wooden plank, which was aimed at her leg. “First the bat, now a wooden plank? What you need to do is, focus on what needs to be done and do that” Y said with her accent from and center. “First you don’t even have a defensive stance, so pretty much anything I do will knock you off balance, secondly your one dimensional with your strikes” Y said showing him what she meant by micking his swinging with her weapon. “You try you hardest to, kill me with bat, but you have no complexity with your attacks, all predictable” she said again. Moving back from the boy, she jumped in the air and executed a perfect form reverse butterfly kick, which attacked on three phases not just one. “I will not kill today, but you cross my paths again and I will set your soul on fire, and make you watch, in a mirror”.

josiah flinched away from Y Intercept's kick, but he wasn't fast enough. As her foot slammed into his head, he was engulfed by blackness.
josiah returned to full consciousness after what must have been only a few seconds, but his opponent was already gone. Using the severed table leg for support, he got shakily to his feet. He briefly wondered why she'd allowed him to live. “Bad move,” he muttered angrily, “should have finished me when you had the chance.” His head was swimming, but he still had the presence of mind to realize it was time to go. Looking at the gaping hole in the ceiling, he could hear sirens approaching in the distance. Not wanting to have to deal with the police, he headed for the exit. “Great,” he thought, “they give me a beanie baby pirating case and I blow up a mall. I better get out of here.”
Approaching the outside door, josiah thought back on the fight. He'd been severely outfought and outclassed. “I really have to study an actual martial art,” he thought, “this dilettante stuff isn't cutting it anymore.”
As he reached the exit, josiah consoled himself with the thought that at least Y Intercept's plot had been disrupted, whatever it was.
Exiting into the night, he stopped briefly to get his bearings. In his condition, it would take him at least a half hour to get home. He hoped he could get there before he crashed from his exposure to the drugs. “Next time, Y Intercept,” he growled, “next time, it won't be so easy.” With that, he loped off into the darkness.
