Taking the Law... (OOC)

I sat back in the computer chair and went back over the list of potential recruits for mine and Night Warden's mission to eliminate the threat of Chicago's crime lords. I was doing this from a public library in Gothic, absolutely traceable research but that was partially the point. I needed a few of them to realize they were being watched and to come looking. There were eight right now, not counting a guy I knew wouldn't be found on any database but would be interested. I used Spex to send a more secure email to Jacob Chase, my coworker in this situation, so he could take part in the recruiting process. That being done, I logged off the computer. Time to get to work.

Rules:

1. This is a closed thread. If you want to join the team please pm either me, Icefire_outlaw, or Nightwarden17, or else mention use here in the OOC thread.

2. Those of you who have already agreed to join please sit tight. I should have the IC thread up tomorrow.

3. Standard CV rules apply. This is going to be in the CV'17 universe.

4. This is just the recruitment thread, I'll set up the actual hit once everyone's character is on board.

5. If you want to be on the mobsters' side just PM us and we'll set things up.

@icefire_outlaw: Hmmmmm..... Knightshadow or Silver Spider might be good to protect the thugs since they don't kill or might stumble upon these hits. Also, the information that can be gained after interrogating these mobsters could be invaluable in their eyes. Or I could sorta easily set up a character who would be happy to kill these mobsters and take some money for his services (if money is involved).

Your thoughts on this all?

@silver_spider_: . This is a no-kill hit, but that doesn't mean the mobbies aren't going to need protecting. Most of our team is red or grey so it would be reasonable to have either of your existing alts on the opposing side. it's totally up to you.

@icefire_outlaw: Hmmm.... I don't think it would be reasonable to have either of them there, and Knightshadow is on hiatus for me currently. I think I'll bust out a new profile, who will be an assassin, hit-man, detective guy with a few abilities. Although he kills, he won't if he is ordered not to so that deals with the killing thing. I'll try to set it up as soon as possible.

@silver_spider_: Sure, just PM me when he's up an I'll include him in the RP.

Once the recruitment is over, the team is go. We also have to develop a strategy to carry out the actual hit, I suggest supreme precision,attacking from all angles, knocking out the enemies communications, and preventing our quarry from escaping. Whom is it up to me to recruit?

OOC:By the way, I'm very thankful for everyone, you all are a fantastic group of friends.

@nightwarden17: I'm planning on making a separate thread for the actual hit, complete with its own OOC thread for strategizing and the like. You're recruiting Dragonfang, Halloween, and Knight101. I have Jason, Rey, Kingeditor, and Roddi. There are still people pending but that makes the full team for now.

IC board is up for Roddi, Kingeditor, Jesse, Jason, and Rey. Waiting in NightWarden for the rest.

@jason_ford: No problem, I'm expecting the recruiting to take about a week real time. You can respond at any time really, Jesse's not going to go looking for your character so whenever works for you. I recommend waiting to make physical contact until after she finishes with Roddi though

Here's my recruitment post added to the thread.

Night Warden greeted Dr. Halloween, Knight101, and Dragonfang, his dark modulation and sleek visage carrying his impact across the rooftop they were upon. "I've studied the heroes of this world for years, out of them, you three are exemplars of skill and strategy. Will you join the team I'm assembling against the Chicago mob? If you accept, I will reward you all beyond your wildest desires. We can reappropriate the funds of entire empires to wherever and whatever causes you all see best. You will become even more legendary, and thanks to my limitless resources whatever goals you all have shall be actualized should you accept and succeed in our mission."

Out of one of his armored compartments he handed them coordinate trackers keyed to encrypted frequencies.

"I expect to see you all soon at the latitudes I've given you, they lead to a mutual meeting place for our team."
