Andromeda Remnants 0800 Stel

The remnants of a world long gone, lost to time, lost to darkness. A planet that was taken from the grasp of its people by demons themselves. Monsters ripped from the worst nightmares and combined into one toxic group of beings. A hive of sickening filth that tore through all in their path and left nothing but sorrow in their wake. For Ronald Larson what he now saw was nothing but sorrow, a decrepit planet.

As he gazed down at the surface of what was once his home world sorrow began to fill his usual sunny disposition. What was once a lush jungle world filled with life and beauty had been reduced to a barren surface covered in massive craters. Large tentacles of demonic power pouring between them in large arcs, their utmost regions reaching into the darkness of space.

His thrusts propelled him through the closest thing they had to a graveyard for their fallen people. Large black clouds covered the sky and moved like oceans of darkness. Once the smog had been penetrated he could view the once green grounds. Now all that was left was miles and miles of blackened earth. The metallic feet of his Sonic Nightmare suit gently touched down upon the tainted sands. His wrist elevated to eye level and a map of the world projecting upwards. Behind the helmet his eyes surveyed the holographic terrain, his gaze shifted upwards towards a large black tendril that currently reached above the skies.

As he neared the tendril it became clear that it was no stationary object, rather it was a flowing stream of dark power. It was so concentrated that it had taken a physical form, in it’s midst were massive chunks of stone and streaks of molten lava. It was as if the very blood of the planet was being ripped from it’s veins and yanked through the flesh.

The energy led straight down towards the core of the planet, eventually the minimal light from the surface faded away leaving only the small streaks of molten material to illuminate the massive cavern.

“Activate Lights”

A stream of white light shot out from his helmet to illuminate his path downwards. He could see the damage this had done to his home, the death and destruction it had caused. Such a powerful weapon wielded by such an evil enemy that could physically kill a planet. He could still remember watching from the windows of the escape ship as the red streak hurtled towards the planet's surface. It happened almost in slow motion, once it touched down fires spewed from beneath the world's crust. It kept moving through the planet as if it were nothing, then it would release its power. In a powerful purple light blasts of energy shot through the crust of their home world and extended out into the deepest reaches of space. Now that weapon slowly drained the life force from the planet, sapping it dry, making the entire realm inhospitable. At least whatever remained of the original did.

As he neared the core he could see the last bit of the planet's life force in the form of its molten core. A sphere of liquid metal slowly moved in circular patterns however, it wasn't hot. In fact the core of the world was incredibly cold for the interior of a planet. It was horrifying to see something he had loved so much dying. He felt hopeless, like he could do nothing to save it. That was because he couldn't, the process was irreversible at this point. The only thing he could do was hope to prevent such tragedy from happening again.

He shook his head, trying to remind himself of why he was here. Scattered about the massive area were large red shards. With a free hand he ran his metallic fingers across them, feeling how hard they were through his suit. Just pressing against them caused light to shoot across it’s surface. His hands went to work on his arms control panel, within a few moments a massive yellow panel formed behind him. It illuminated the obsidian colored suit.

“Computer begin fragment recovery process, gather all available. Then begin construction on the shell molds.”

He turned, flying through the yellow panel. In his wake countless drones began pouring through the panel and set off to recover the massive red fragments.
