Gothic City, a Society Forgotten
Six years ago, Gothic City was abandoned by President Stark to become a no-man's-land. A venerable hive of scum and villainy, it is essentially a miniature war-zone, with fanatics and criminal warlords turning the once-proud metropolis into an apocalyptic hellhole. Vigilantes and psychopaths alike roam the streets, collectively terrorizing those who were unable or unwilling to evacuate in time. The city is in desperate need of salvation, with thousands starving in the gutters and more desperately trying to evacuate.
Now, as President Donn promised the American people during his campaign, he's making a wholehearted push to reclaim the city and save what noble innocents remain. It's the end of an era of terror, a march into Hell on Earth to bring light into the abyss that is Gothic City.
President Donn's Speech
Donn stood behind the podium with the knife still stuck to it. Every trace of Samuel Washington’s throat had been swept away from the blade and it still stood just the way it was before. He had given it as a gift to Klaus to commemorate a victory and in return he gave him his enemy’s bleeding throat.
“My fellow Americans. Like many politicians, I made a lot of promises when I was campaigning. Right here, I grabbed this very knife and declared war on Iceland. Today I’m proud to say that we beat them, so now...”
He picked up the knife from the table and put it in his inner jacket pocket only leaving behind a small wound in the table. Donn would give it back to the newly appointed CIA Deputy and probably invite him to a celebratory dinner.
“I think this doesn’t belong here anymore.”
“Unfortunately with every victory that we have there seems to be another crisis happening that I have to touch upon.”
“A few months ago, I painted the White House black as a promise to the people of Gothic city. Their suffering, their feeling of abandon, stains even the purest of monuments in the nation. Every day that passes the toll grows bigger and eventually it will destroy the nation.”
“The White House will not be restored to the way it was until we return Gothic city back to the Union or I get dragged out of the White House. This is my promise.”
“As I am speaking, troops are on the way to seize the city back from the terrorists and criminals that have abused it for too long.”
“I attempted to invite Mayor Strix over to the White House to discuss a plan to work together, but he remained silent despite his supposed interest in working with me during his imaginational speech. In his silence, he allowed time to pass and for more people to get hurt, showing us all his true nature. “
“We are still sending a representative to discuss a way to resolve our issues with Gothic’s current administrations. Regardless of how those negotiations go, with their help or without. Gothic will be part of the Union again.”
“Thank you and God Bless America”.
