Out in dee open dee Mongoose has dee cunning, agility, and resourcefulness to outmatch dee serpent." they continue to watch as the Mongoose toys with its prey. But suddenly the snake turns fluently and makes its way down a nearby hole. "You see how dee cobra's fight of flight instincts naturally took over? An assassin must possess dee same instinct. Never allow a target to determine dee location. Out in dee open dee Mongoose had maximized its advanatges, but you noticed how it did not pursue? It did not follow? Retreating to its own environment instantly changed dee dynamics for dee Cobra. Inside its tightly confined space it would have been able to outmaneuver its foe. Ethan nodded sternly, acknowledging the information's worth. And what if the targets lies only in undesirable locations? What is "dee" assassin to do?
@Ethan Starks:Impressed by his newly appointed apprentices' question,the Cajun smiled. "Observation is fundamental. Dee ability to adapt, to blend in, is an assassins foundation. If your target resides in undesirable locations you yourself must be able to become "undesirable." You must be able to alternate personalities. You must be able to think like your prey, in a sense, become your prey. See what they see and in doing so you will be able to anticipate their every move."
@Gambler: Hmm. Well spoken. Ethan grinned, observing the scene between the two animals once again before meeting Gambler's eyes. Okay I'm guessing that was the educational part. Let's get into something a bit more hands on.
@Ethan Starks:Without hesitation the Cajun fluently attempted to deliver an under armed open fingered thrust, aimed between the fourth and fifth rib (also known as the True Ribs) with lightly fast precision. Stepping back he immediately took up a defensive position. "As you wish" he smirked
@Gambler:The moment the cajun moved Ethan smacked the fingers away. nearly caught off by his sudden act. As the crafty assassin stepped back into a prone stance Ethan immediately studied his positioning and movements. Withdrawing two small round balls from his pocket he tossed them to the ground, ensnaring the immediate distance between them in a thick smoke fog. Sensing Gambler's energy he dashed towards him, executing a jump kick trained for the back of his cranium. "Adapt."
@Ethan Starks:With speed matching that of the Living Legend himself the hero easily deflected the decisive blow before displaying his versatility. Unleashing a stylishly developed airborne attack cleverly concealed within the smoke released by his gadgets.However having studied under the expert tutelage of Surreal Diablo while blinded, the self proclaimed King of Kings wasno mere novice in the arts of perceptional combat. Sensing the subtle distortions in the fog, Gambler instinctively stepped into the oncoming attack while simultaneously bringing his bent arm up to his head in order to absorb the blow. Continuing on in a singular motion he contorted his body in a hundred and eighty degree turn before using his photographic reflexes to perfectly duplicate Ethan's previous attack . "Adapt indeed."
@Gambler: A boot collided with Ethan's cheek bone and vibrated through his skull. Gambler was not only skillful but surprisingly quick. The parry of Ethan's kick followed by a kick of his own happened within a second. Ethan fell to his knees, rattled by the impact. The misty fog still sifted through the air, Ethan sought to use the remaining blindness to his advantage, for what Gambler had in skill Ethan planned to make up for with resources. Reaching deep within his pocket again he pulled out another two round balls, colored blue. Tossing them in the assassin's general direction a frequency sounded only those with acute hearing could pick-up. The sharp noise would potentially disorient those who could hear it. After placing ear plugs deep within the concaves of his earlobe Ethan struck again with a combination. The moment he closed in the smoke dissipated. A quick feint left kick was thrown, the right leg following soon after, guided towards the King of Kings jaw.
@Ethan Starks:An enchanting vibration resonated through the Cajun's foot as it struck soundly. But Gambler's arrogance was quickly discarded as the tactically proficient hero once again dug into his bag of tricks, releasing a secondary attack targeting his opponents hearing in hopes of distorting his equilibrium. The high pitch frequency instantly brought the Aristocratic assassin to a knee as he covered his ears desperate to alleviate the discomfort. Unable to maintain his balance or his composure Gambler was left vulnerable. Ethan wasted no time as he closed in to capitalize on his quick thinking, weaving left before exploding right delivering a violent kick to the jaw of the Cajun. The force whirling his body around as it slammed to the ground. Momentarily dazed Gambler quickly recovered, rocking back onto his shoulders before launching himself up with a no handed kip up. The stream of blood flowing from his mouth slowly wiped away as his lips curled to form his infamous Cheshire Cat grin. "Impressive." he paused to look at his crimson stained hand, "Most impressive. I am inclined to declare dis lesson, over."
@Gambler: Ethan's adrenaline induced grin faded as the thirst for battle escaped him. Nodding firmly at Gambler he smirked before vanishing once again with a feeling of accomplishment.
@Ethan Starks:Readjusting his jaw as Ethan took his leave, Gambler knelt down carefully scooping up the spent silver smoke and sensory casings. After a moment he mimicked removing them from a phantom pack at his hip before allowing his photographic reflexes to replay Ethan's movements, systematically evolving from the dash, to the left footed feint, followed closely behind by the right. "Most impressive...indeed"
