If I can get some spare time I'm In.
Comicvine Final War OoC
I'm bumping this again so I can get more people to hop in by the time I get my first post up which most likely will be the coming Wednesday since I will be off. The link for the RP will be posted here, and on the first page. In addition, I will also have the link to the first ever Synopsis page up when I finally get that post up.
@Izaiah: I haven't decided on how I'm presenting them. I leaving them kind of vague so the reader can decide.
@Soul_Rebel: lmfao he's not talking about you. He's talking about how the Egyptian god's have like jackal heads and stuff.
@Izaiah: So, you prefer them to be people wearing hawk and jackal headdresses? Okay. Seems reasonable.
On another note, I'm throwing every one of my characters except Thorn into this. It's gonna get nuts.
@The_Mercenary said:@Izaiah: ... What you tryin to say?
...What he said. lol@Soul_Rebel: lmfao he's not talking about you. He's talking about how the Egyptian god's have like jackal heads and stuff.
@.Longshot.:
Pretty much :p Though seriously, with them (presumably) being shapeshifters, they could prolly appear as whatever they like.
@.Longshot.: Zeus shape shifted often. The post is almost done as well. It's going on to three pages actually.
@Eternal Chaos: Oh, right. I forgot how often he shape shifted to snag some mortal tail.
...
The Greek gods are dicks.
@Soul_Rebel: If there's one thing I've proven, it's that people with power don't have the right to push everyone else around. Or have their way with them. Or smite them with lightning bolts.
@.Longshot.: Well, parents can decide whether or not their child deserves to get beat or not. Gods, for all intents and purposes are the "parents" of humanity. So they can technically decide whether we deserve to get beat or not.
@.Longshot.: I believe in Greek mythology Zeus or Prometheus are the ones who created them... so that's how they were appointeed as parents.
@.Longshot.: Zeus created the Humans as a means to receive prayer to stay in power. Hera was his wife so she's kind of the Stepmother. Zeus' other God children serve as big brothers and sisters. Authority.
Uhmm..I'm pretty sure that this is just the Clash of the Titans version of the events. In the mythology itself, it was Prometheus who created humanity, and the prayers of humans had no physical effect on the gods.@.Longshot.: Zeus created the Humans as a means to receive prayer to stay in power. Hera was his wife so she's kind of the Stepmother. Zeus' other God children serve as big brothers and sisters. Authority.
@Izaiah: There are many versions of the events that took place, some say Zeus made them and that Prometheus just gave them fire. Others say that Prometheus created them, cared for them, and advanced their society. Mythology is a pretty ambiguous thing.
@Uchiha NeVann: Absolutely not. You can join whenever you'd like.

Pretty much this. There are a ton of different versions and no one single version. I was taught what I said before I saw Clash of the Titans. Which wasn't too bad a movie come to think about it... (Original, not the new one.)
True...I also seem to recall a version where humanity was created by Persephone/Rhea/Athena/Hermes from the ashes of the Titans (pulverized by Zeus, after they murdered Dionysus/Zagreus on Hera's orders) mixed with Dionysus/Zagreus's heart.
Although I prefer the Prometheus version, it seems more consistent with the rest of the mythology in general.
@Izaiah: True, a Titan betraying his master's order in order to help the beings he created, sounds more plausible than any of the other ways it was depicted.
Odd, I never heard of humanity's creation being attributed solely to Zeus outside of Clash of the Titans (the 2010 version, dunno what the mythology in the original version was like).Pretty much this.
