The Invincibly Super Massive Comic Book Podcast of Stuff: Episode 135
@dd208: Why would that be a thing?
This movie has nothing to do with The Walking Dead.
Hmmm, no time stamps. I'll have to be on my toes for BvS spoilers.
BvS spoilers starts around 50:00.
@dd208: Why would that be a thing?
This movie has nothing to do with The Walking Dead.
What if the people making the movie are fans of the Walking Dead. Why would two characters from the Walking Dead play Thomas and Martha Wayne, two roles that were for the most part useless in the movie. They could have gotten two unknown actors for those roles.
@dd208: Because it's Zack Snyder and it's WB and there's no such thing as subtlety or unknown with either one of them.
They could have had a bunch of unknown people reporting the news all throughout this movie on the Gotham News Network or Metropolis News, but they went and rented out the entire staff of CNN.
Think you got Batman Beyond mixed up with Dark Knight Returns, this is the genesis of the rescue scene:

Yeah, that needs to be here.
@drellassassin: Thanks!
Time stamps for BvS are not needed unless you wanted to go straight to the discussion. The description states we talk about the TV shows and then BvS for the rest.
@outside_85: They didn't get mixed up, I think they were talking about how in other versions of Batman using a gun is a big deal, and in Batman Beyond's case in the 1st episode, resorting to pulling a gun is what made him retire from being Batman. As opposed to how this version is a bit more casual about it.
@wardishy_: But BB is not the one bvs is based on.
Haven't seen BvS yet, but regarding tv shows...
- The best part of the Supergirl Flass cross over was Barry. I thought he was really funny in this. Clearly Supergirl is not the show for me but this episode was cool.
- For the actual Flash episode, I personally don't mind the time travel episodes. Consider how much time travel is already in the DC tv universe with Legends of Tomorrow. It's just something they do.
- Decent episode of Agents of Shield but would it have been too much trouble for Mac to actually tape a real axe to his shotgun? It was really more of a shotgun cleaver.
I love that I can count on you guys to give well rounded intelligent reviews. I personally LOVED BvS but I was totally emotional about my favorite character, Wonder Woman of course, getting time on the big screen. I liked the rest of the movie too, but I can totally understand why people would have problems with it. It seems right now that it's cool to smash this movie without any knowledge of comics or the characters or even seeing the actual movie so it's great that there are people that I can count on for good solid discussion.
Few things. I just listened to the podcast earlier today so I'll say a few things about this podcast and a couple of shows.
Flash- Love it, think Barry is an idiot. Is told not to mess with time, first thing he does, messes with the timeline.
Arrow- Love it too. This episode had Felicity's "arch-enemy" from Flash. Episode was alright, thought the villain made WAY TO MANY BEE JOKES.
Legends of Tomorrow- Really enjoying the show. Loved Ra's al Ghul came back. Wonder what happened to Talia? She get exiled, died, got sent back in time?
BvS- I loved the movie. Wasn't perfect but I really loved it. Ben Affleck as Batman was great, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman was cool. Lois and the whole spear thing kinda bugged me like how she know? I liked the music in the movie. Wonder Woman's theme was freaking awesome when she showed up. I liked Lex in this movie, was something different and I liked it.
I wish the DC Extended Universe was different as in they release the solo movies first then Justice League. I think it should have been Man of Steel, Batman set in the past around the time Robin was alive, it ends with being set around the time Man of Steel happens with Bruce seeing the news of Zod and his invasion. Then BvS, Wonder Woman, Flash, Aquaman, Cyborg(I have no idea what his movie would involve other than his tragic and very painful backstory). I imagine Flash, Aquaman and Cyborg would end with them being approached by Bruce or Diana saying something like "Hello (insert person's name here), I know who you are and we need your help." or something. Throw Suicide Squad in there somewhere between any of those movies. THEN Justice League happens. I don't know, I think it be a good way to do it but someone else might have something else in mind. I just hope the rest of the DC movies turn out good.
