I think the problem is people go with what they know and the only way to get non-white straight males characters in the spotlight is to remove the white straight males characters. Have them die, get old, or retire and let the, African, Hispanic, Asian, Jewish, Muslim, LGBT, and female characters take up their mantles or place.

Personally I think the Iron Fist casting debate is a complete paradox. There's a legitimate argument for both ideas. Personally I would like to see an asian Iron Fist but I'm also excited to see Finn Jones play the role. As long as they do a good job I don't care what they do. I think what I really want is for Shang-Chi to be in the Iron Fist series.

Imagine Zoom is actually Eobard Thawn from Earth 2's future. He could have the same type of beef with Jay that Earth 1 Thawn had with Barry. So he goes back in time on Earth 2 and body matches him (maybe without Jay knowing?). Probably not but that's what I'm thinking about now.
