When your friends or the few of them you got and family sign you up for rehab. When you get there you seem to be the only one there because you've been on the vine to much the rest just drink to much.
When every thread feels like it's been done before even when it hasn't.
When you know exactly which users will respond to which threads.
When you're looking through the forums and see who the last person to post in a thread was and can predict what their post says. (And when you check the post, you are correct, that's the important part.)
When you know everyone's favorite characters and biases (even the ones they can't admit to themselves) by heart.
When you've given up on trying to convince idiots that they're wrong.
When you're no longer the best there is at what you do.
When you realize most of the people who came around the time you did are gone.
When the people who came around the time you did but then left come back and only you and a few others know who they are.
When you write responses to arguments that haven't been made yet (even worse: for threads that haven't even been created yet) but that you know are coming. That was for the debaters, though there's an RPG version.
When your fiercest enemy becomes your friend.
When you can recall a time before teams or RPGs.
When you've topped both lists.
When you conquer all and never die.
Whoever said that thing about forgetting how to write a "G" had me cracking up.
