Because Idris Elba was cast to play Heimdall in Thor and Michael Clarke Duncan was cast to play Kingpin in Daredevil, I think we should take diversity even further and make a Black Panther movie with Vanilla Ice cast as T'Challa.
Would you watch it?

Being African is an integral part of tchalla's character. Being white don't matter for Heimdall and Kingpin.
Not the same thing.
Only if Eminem plays Ulysses Klaw, an evil DJ who will stop at nothing to win a rap battle with T'Challa, and Danny Trejo as the Man-Ape. No less ridiculous than major story changes to new movie FF.
Vanilla Ice is a horrible actor. I wouldn't cast him to play himself in a Vanilla Ice movie lol
He was pretty good in That's My Boy.

No he wasn't lol
I can see it, actually. He has the look and build for it. My only issue is that it will be all too rizzeal.

As a Swede, I was offended that Heimdall wasn't portrayed as a typical Nord. Alien Asgardians in the comics have the physical traits matching what is typically thought of for the Norse gods. There was no reason Heimdall shouldn't have been the same.
Kingpin's change was just for because reasons.

He was amazing in Cool as Ice.

What's with white people making this comparison. Matt Murdock is a white guy, Thor is super white. None of the stories main protagonists were changed. So why should panther be white? Why not Zuri or W'Kabi? Hell there's already two white guys in BP is Hunter, T'Challa's adopted brother and Everett Ross his liaison to the UN.

That's cold.
@living_monstrosity: You could say he was pretty "chill" :D
Sure as soon as Batman is played Terry Crews.
I'd watch that. It'd be loaded with old spice product placement. "Alfred, Get me my old spice."

Pretty much this.
"To the Spicemobile!"

But he'd also have to shoot Batarangs out of his dancing pectorals.
@dagmar_merrill: actually being white should matter for Heimdall. He is a f*cking Norse god. There are no black Norse people ( native ). And he is the product of the imagination of the Norse people. When the god Heimdall was invented vikings probably never imagined that a man can be black.
That's one of the reasons why so many people were pissed off.
So is this like a movie where Vanilla Ice is the main guy who is playing the victim as he is beaten to a pulp by Black Panther who is played by another actor ?
Of all white actors and this guy isn't even a real actor. You pick Vanilla Ice. Smh.
He had his own movie and has his own IMDB page. I'd say that makes him an actor. Well, actor/master mc.
