Would you rather be a nerd or a jock ?

Characteristics:

-Spent most of your life in academics and worked hard in school to make 6 figure salary as a doctor.

- Didn't go to many parties and most of your time was spent studying.

- Girls you like either saw you as just a friend, treated you like dirt, or gave you some BS excuse on why they couldn't go out with you.

- You couldn't get any pussy in high school/college and only got a GF coming out of school a couple months after finishing school and working.

-Your GF is 29 years old and is 3-4/10 female who has a degree in mathematics/physics. She works as a teacher.

- Fast forward and your now 35 year old making millions of dollars each year. You are so rich, you don't have to work ever again if you choose too.

Jock

- You do well on tinder and have girls who say to other guys "I'm not like that, I rather date than be FWB", "I don't do hook ups", sending you nude pics and asking to sleep with you (even if they have a BF).

- Most girls who made other guys wait weeks/months for sex were jumping your bones on date 1.

- Girls be messaging you on FB from your school just to grab your attention, ask you to come over and smash, or inviting you to parties/events.

- You regularly have sex/or LTR with girls who were are hot and average guys droll over and even average girls wanted to sleep with you.

- You spent most of your college years, networking and making friends, going to parties, having sex, fond memories with your bros, joining a fraternity, and playing sports. Your grades suck balls and you went to a party school though.

- You come out with a degree in Sports Science and eventual become a fitness trainer 1 year later.

- You make about 50,000 dollars/year and girls you regular fooled around with in highschool/college still message you to "reconnect" even though they are married and have a kid.

- Fast forward to 35 years and you still do well with girls but no longer can land super hot ones that all guys want. You make about same salary and live about middle class lifestyle.

WHO DO YOU WANT TO BE ?

Not into both (wrong gender, lol)... But if I had to choose between these 2 as a boyfriend, I would prefer the nerd one because I hate the feeling unloved or abandoned for someone else when that's pretty much what "cool boys" do

I know most of you guys would prefer jocks though

But I don't really like playing sports at all so in your scenario I'm sort of disqualified from being a jock.

Nerd, tho to be fair you kind of stacked the odds that way with this post. I know some jocks who went on to do well, while some nerds I knew from school ended up badly. Honestly, despite what TV tells you, high school labels only matter until you get out of school. After that life will do whatever the hell it wants to with you. Things will happen that you have absolutely no control over. You could be a super rich computer programmer one day, and a broke nerd the next because of a stock market down turn, or you could be a broke former jock and find a winning lotto ticket on the ground.

Basically my point is, this question doesn't matter.

Since Im already kind of a nerd and so far it doesnt that rewarding, Id rather go back and be a jock.

Hey, hey, hey, 1.) Not all jocks aren't successful (I get that it's for the purposes of the thread, but stil...) what if they play a pro sport? And I'm on my varsity football team with a 4.16 unweighted GPA.

2.) I'm a secret nerd, but I play sports. If I had to choose between those options tho.... Probably a Jock tbh. Middle class isn't a bad life at all, plus I'd want to be able to play catch with my kids eventually, and be a "cool dad" who does outdoors stuff with them. Not work 8:00am-11:00pm and hardly see them.

@the-seeffiss17: I'm an outdoorsy tomboy. So I agree. I was also both of these types. I was a nerdy/jock. I played softball, rode horses, and competed in fencing. I also studied my butt off and graduated with honors. I agree with you in terms of which life seems better.

Jock. I'm fine with 50,000 and being in fitness is cool. Oh yeah and all the ladies.

I was somewhere in the middle in high school and being a jock would've been kinda cool. I also agree with joshmightbe. Cliques and labels don't matter outside of school.

Always been both. Played soccer, baseball, cross country, Track and field ( including long jump, shot put and discus, as well as the Swimming and Diving teams. I entered my first weightlifting competition at age 17 and won two first place metals. But I am obsessed with nearly every field of science, history and philosophy as well as other fields, and love so many kinds of literature, and particularly racing video games as well as a large variety of music, films and cartoons and tv shows. I am now in my later 20s and have a beautiful girlfriend and daughter.

But if I had to choose I would probably say jock as being physical and physically hard working have been huge in my life. Though I would not want to be stupid if choosing this took away my nerdy side.

I'm fine with what I am. A huge nerd. I wouldn't wanna do anything else than programming, enjoying comics, fantasy, sci-fi, and applying my intellect.

I'm sort of combination. I'm a nerd at heart, but I also regularly lift weights and I'd say I'm pretty strong. I'm not all that active with females (I'm a MGTOW).

I liked to be both because I can see that there are beautiful nerds and jocks.

Well, considering I'm already a nerd, some of the things of what you listed were true about my personal life.

I'd like to be somewhere in between, as I think I am now. I've got good grades (Highest GPA in my class), I enjoy pretty much everything considered "nerdy", and most of my friends are also considered nerdy. However, I'm also on the Basketball Team (about our 11th or 12th man, but still) and have a couple of friends considered more towards the jock end of the spectrum. But if I had to choose one or the other, you've gotta pick Nerd. Being rich and successful later in life beats being cool in High School any day.
