I mean... They won their oppening match (Does not happen much) and they almost won the cup in 2015 & 2014 Playoffs...It cannot always not happen when you have the potential (Subban, Price, Pacio, Gallie, Galchie).
Pilasy:La Voix d'un homme
Oh. I thought it was a typo and I was attempting to poke fun, but that backfired so hard it's not even funny.
Canadiens are garbage
Participed in the Conference Finals two times in 5 years (If the Goalie wasnt injuried by the Rangers, Canadiens would have won the cup!)... I think you can throw that hate in the garbage mate.
Pilasy:La Voix d'un homme
@rouflex: Price can only carry them so far.Plus there's the curse to consider. They'll be eliminated in the second round this year, barring a big trade by them, or massive injuries to some of the top teams in the East.

B1tch please. Only Halak carried the team. Price was good but he did not solo anything. Subban, Pacio, Galchenyuk, Gallagher and others were there when needed. They almost won with a Second Zone Goalie :p. Last Year Tampa had luck of their life to pass through Canadiens... Off-Side goal in overtime and Last second goals when the other team was dominant... Bishop b1tching and boxing the puck was hilarious to watch.
Pilasy:La Voix d'un homme
@rouflex: I guess winning every award a goalie can win in a year, doesn't mean you carried your team lolol. The Canadiens aren't ready for prime time bruh. If they were, they wouldn't of gotten beat in 6 by an upstart Lighting team, in the second round. The Ducks have it this year, Kings are just trying to rebound, Chicago lost key cogs in the machine, the Stars are have too many new pieces and won't mesh right away. The Blues choke every year. The Ducks have the perfect mix of veteran talent, youth, speed, size, experience in the playoffs and now they are p*ssed off and ready to win.
@agentsandman: Dude... Stop the ABC logic... I've watched their season and the playoffs... Price was lucky for not sending their team in ot against Ottawa last year (This and the refused goal in favor of Ottawa). The Team WAS CLEARLY the better man. The only moment Price was really needed was during the last match when he prevented the score to get 4-1 (IIRC). Now i'm not saying Price is not Canon, he's a beast. But there is no chance in hell that he did something miraculous in the playoffs... I mean, the Canadiens just ran out of luck. Before the first stolen match (Off Side Goal Accepted), the Canadiens were owning Tampa Bay. During the second match, Canadiens were the better team untill they got penalties (First Match Tampa deserved). Third match was at the image of the first match, Canadiens were giving their best... They were the better team. And, a last second goal occured after Tampa deserved a penalty (Which they never received). Game fourth. Game fourth was representative of the other matchs. The only thing different, is that Canadiens actually temporally vainquished their mal chance. They throwed bishop out of the game. Game Five was in the favor of the Canadiens and Game Six was close by moments and Canadiens could have won it by moments, but this is the second match Tampa deserved.
All along, the Canadiens were targeted. Canadiens got penalties where Tampa could have got away with it.
Is it working yet?

@rouflex: Dude, stop with the "luck" argument. You don't need to explain each game to me, I know how it went down. The fact remains that even if they had forced a game 7, they most likely would've lost. Price carried that team through the regular season and like I said he can only carry the Canadiens so far and it seems the second round of the playoffs is where it ends. You say it's abc logic, i say its common sense. The Canadiens opposition is going to be even worse than it was last year.
@agentsandman: Your comment that predated my ''Luck'' point clearly showed you did not know anything about it... Hence why i explained it. So what? You point out the obvious but it does not change the fact that last year team was Stanley Cup material... As for the Carey Price carrying the Canadiens... Is spitting on the good players the Canadiens had.
@amazingwebhead What does Alberta, Ontario and British Canada has to do with Québécois?
Pilasy:La Voix d'un homme
@rouflex: i dunno, i just wanted to be part of the discussion
@amazingwebhead: I still love you tho :).
Pilasy:La Voix d'un homme
What is in the cup? Water? Juice?
Something better: It is the tears of thousands of French Canadians realising that people like Canada more than they like Quebec

I'm guessing those are not "tears of joy."
@nefarious: I'm going to agree with your guess
@citizensentry: They have my sympathy.
@rouflex: Don't get mad because I gave you my opinion for a question YOU asked. In my opinion, Price is your best player and made the Canadiens a contender. The Canadiens won't get any farther than the 2nd round this year, in my opinion. If you can't handle what I think of your team, then don't respond to me.
@agentsandman: All i'm saying is that you don't have the information needed to have a significiant opinion. Price being the better player is different from Price soloing btw.
Imagine Subban in this spot...
Pilasy:La Voix d'un homme
@rouflex: I find it funny when you say I don't have information to make an significant opinion when it's a question you proposed out of your own blind passion as a fan, when they've won 1 game this year. Last year the Canadiens were 20th in goals scored per game. Carey Price started 66 games for the Canadiens last year and won 44 of those, with a goals against average of 1.96. I never said he soloed, but carried isn't a far off analogy, considering non playoff teams, like the Stars, Kings, Sharks and Blue Jackets scored more per game than the Canadiens. Look what happened when they played the top scoring team in the league through the regular season, in the playoffs last year, they got beat in 6. It also doesn't bode well that all the contenders in the East have either stayed the same or gotten better. Maybe before allowing you're blind passion as a fan get the better of you, you wait until at least a third of the way through the season, before asking wether or not your favorite team will win the Stanley Cup this year. So before you come back with something denouncing my opinion, you look at the information yourself and maybe not post a topic in a community driven forum, where you won't like the opinions that are given to you.
@agentsandman: The Canadiens is not a scoring team, they are a defensive team yet they still make the playoff... You prooved my point with this simple phrase. You ignore everything about them (You probably google your stuff or something :)). Price would probably not be on this level if the Canadiens did not out play Tampa in 4 and defeated Boston (His game went to the charts after his medal and goodly presence against the Rangers before getting injuried after they barely defeated Boston). Price is good, but he doesnt get his game higher when it comes to the playoffs. It takes win for him to be a great game changer. Canadiens almost won their serie against Rangers despite Price not being there. During last year playoff, Price didnt change the games (Well if we don't count the last period of last year playoffs). Fanatics say he did against Ottawa, i am aware he did not. He was nervous and barely stopped the pucks (Not meaning we would have lost). Ottawa deserved the win better than Tampa Bay but Canadiens outclassed both of them. Now i said we were Stanley Cup material, i am still not sure as if we would have defeated the Blackhawks... But then again they have that historic :P. Anyway... There is a reason why Canadiens made it to 3-2 before having one bad match, they were the better team. Again... I never said it was a fact that they would win because they won the first match that they rarely win, i said since in the last 6 years they had 3 opportunities to win the cup, maybe this year is the year.
Pilasy:La Voix d'un homme
@rouflex: Look, I'm not saying they aren't a good team, clearly they are, 2 years ago they made the East finals. But like I said, you asked the question and I don't think you have the right to denounce another's opinion, just because you don't like it. Especially since I use stats to back my argument and you use their potential. I don't think they will make it past the second round this year.There are too many good teams in the East and their offense won't be able to contend and their defense will only take them so far. I hope they do make it past the second round. I'd rather see them then Pittsburgh, Islanders, Rangers, Lighting, Red Wings, or Capitals, but making this thread after 1 game seems a little premature, you never know when injuries can happen. I wish them all the luck in the world this year, in the East.
@agentsandman: You use their season stats to make a point on their playoff stats...Now you have a valid opinion (With that eliminated thing)... Cause well, luck is a factor. Now my opinion is you always get back to that one game thing when i previously stated that the past Playoffs experiences is the reason why i think Canadiens will win this year. Not the one game (Despite it being funny because Canadiens rarely win their oppening match). Who do you think will win this year?
Pilasy:La Voix d'un homme
@rouflex: Well I guess we shall see how the season goes, like I said, I'd rather see them, then any other team in the East.
@agentsandman: Do you have a favorite team? Mate.
Pilasy:La Voix d'un homme
@rouflex: Anaheim Ducks
@agentsandman: Cool. I was kinda dissapointed when Chicago won tbh...At the same title as when the Ducks won against Calgary tho lol.
Pilasy:La Voix d'un homme
@rouflex: After Chicago went up 3-0 in game 7, I quit watching and started drinking the pain away. Same as the year before when they lost in Game 7 to the Kings.
@agentsandman: That non accidental Injury to Price was bad for my own health... Two final east but no cup in 5 years... We are almost there, right, right :(?
