Professor Pyg, Anarky, Mr. Toad? Why does Beware the Batman have no good villains like the Joker or Bane?

No but they should use GOOD villains. Professor Pyg is okay but Mister Toad and Humpty-Dumpety aren't so good.

I have no problem with using obscure villains but only to an extend. After awhile it'll get really boring. I bet you that Beware the Batman will slowly bring in the more well-know villains. Running out of villains and plot ideas in the future will force the show to add in Joker, Bane, etc....

I agree these first two episodes kinda sucked. C-list villains and plots that didn't really "WOW" you like most pilots should.

They're trying to break away from the norm. Get people more familiar with the C-List Villians and if that fails, go back to the villians that are more mainstream.

Pyg was creepy as hell in his most recent apperance.

I miss Batman: The Brave And Bold....such a beautiful homenage to the Silver Age :(

Gee, didn't they use them in the past series already?
And I'd rather Anarky over them.

There have been only two episodes.It's just a build-up.In the end we will get bigger villains and more interesting ones but for the first two episodes you cant ask for Joker or Bane.

The only episode I cared to watch was the last one. It was hillarious!

Other than that I think it took itself to seriously for such a cheesy show.

You should see Chill of the Night. The best episode from the series, also the darkest, and it was written by Paul Dini.

@tdk_1997:

Yes but they announced all the enemies for season 1: Kraken, Ten Eyed Man, Metamorpho, Humpty Dumpty, and the "final" villain is Ra's al ghul. There is also other villains that never even appear in the comics.

They said at first that they're not going to use any villains that appeared in previous animated series but I'd be surprised if they didn't use some A- List villains throughout the series.

Professor Pyg IS a good Batman villain. The guy is just....yeah. But then I imagine in this cartoon he is not allowed to be a decent villain.

@mrdecepticonleader:

I agree he is good, but only in the comics. The Beware the Batman version of him is bad. He drives a 1920's style car that can apparently go as fast as the batmobile.

I actually liked Professor Pyg and Mr Toad. Had a Burton-esque quality to them.

I always liked Anarky. I haven't seen the show, but I liked the idea of a kid villain that isn't an annoying twat. Unless, that's changed in the show?

I see that too. Can't really go too far with a Batman series and not use any one of his bigger foes. Way I figure it, Batman's enemies are a greater part of the pull for some of the fans out there. Gambling a new series on toned down C-listers...mm-mm.

The real question is why is there ANOTHER batman animated series. He has been running almost continuously on television since the amazing 90s series. Don't get me wrong this Beware the Batman is decent some things I like (being a detective) other things I don't (animation and villains).

Give Flash, Wonderwoman, or hell give Superman another animated series. I miss the old DC animated universe and Young Justice looked like it could possibly spawn another animated universe like Batman and Superman did years back.
