Why are people scared of cockroaches, but not horses?

Horses are far more dangerous, so why don't we fear them as much?

Appearance has a lot to do with it if every insect/arachnid grew go be about the size of the spiders in LOTR people would be scared sh!tless

Perhaps it relates back to man's fear of disease.

Horses can't live for weeks without a head but cockroaches can which is creepy.

Maybe because horses don't crawl around your house, crawl on you, get near (or even on) your food, pretend to be dead in the bathroom (and moves when you try make sure its dead), jump out of nowhere, and look ugly.

Horses also don't spread diseases like cockroaches.

I'm not scared of roaches, but I think they're dirty and I would prefer if they weren't near me or my stuff. I don't fw horses either, though—I don't like them.

Because horses aren't as common as cockroaches. Cockroaches are in practically every house, and are small enough to reside in everyday products.

Cockroaches look disgusting.

Did you think about this while on psychedelics? Because horses are scary as hell if you see them in that state of mind.

It's the 6 legs thing. The way they move doesn't seem natural compared to quadrupeds or bipeds, it's probably an evolutionary advantage to be disgusted by things with 6 or more legs somehow.

Cockroaches are just dirty and a pest to have in a house. Considered with the fact that they're so hard to get rid of and multiply, that alone is terrifying. And the appearance isn't really the most pleasant in terms of insects. I still dislike centipedes/millipedes more.

Because horses don't come in swarms and aren't going to be sitting in your fridge or in your bathroom... unless you live in a tent.

Seriously though, it's just humans natural aversion to creepy crawlies. The good thing about cockroaches however is that they think humans are equally disgusting and will spend a lot of time cleaning themselves if they encounter one.

Horses are only dangerous when you scare them. We should be concerned about cockroaches because they carry diseases such as salmonella, stephylococcus, and streptococcus.

Because most of the people are illogical and stupid creatures.

If a horse came into my house I would be about 100x as frightened as if it were a cockroach
