@rockette: I've already thought of at least 10 others that could be on the list but didn't spring to mind immediately. I think it's best not to take it too seriously considering how much variety there is in the genre. I mean Rome Total War and the first Sonic are both classic games to me but I wouldn't know how to begin comparing them.
