Anyone who plays as Ermac online...will most likely destroy me. I don't know what it is about the character but when someone picks him I just scream "NNOOOO!!" and chalk it up as a loss. I literally get tossed around like a puppet by Ermac no matter who I use. I don't know if this speaks well of him or poorly of me though lol.

Yeah dude lol, I LOVE Ermac. I'm also 4th in the world in player match rank leaderboard :) lol. If you want to play sometime, send a message to my GT MKF30.
I use all, well most of the mid tier ninjas. Ermac, Sektor, Scorpion, Smoke, Noob and Rain. I don't like Cyrax, Reptile and Sub. I usually use Sub-Zero too, but I don't like him in this game. Thought about maining Cyber Sub though.
Yeah, I'm more of a zoning player, I prefer to fight people from a far. Ermac is that kind of character lol. A lot of people like to rush down, I'm the total opposite.
I hate KL, Kabal and Cage players...so annoying lol. I use Kabal casually but he's so powerful with his dash cancels, saws, fireballs, set ups. You can do anything with him, rush down, zone, turtle whatever you want. And KL, I HATE his spin...so annoying lol.
I've actually been playing a lot with Sonya, Mileena, Sektor, and Sindel. Once I get a little more of a taste for each character I'll drop three of them and just focus on one.

I actually have only played with Cage once or twice. I've found that Kung Lao is the most hated character in MK9. He's everywhere when you fight him, the dive kick and that forward roll tend to trip me up as well as the spin.

I just picked up Stryker, he's fun. Hard to use but fun. Jade's also hard, she's got such an odd style. Kenshi is fun. I know one guy on Xbox named Punisher Rogue who's got a beastly Jade. He did a 40% combo to this guy before I beat him in a KOTH room, that's pretty damn impressive for Jade lol.

right lol, just read that haha about you joking. I tell people on xbox that all the time they're like "what is zoning" they often confuse it with "spamming" lol
Ehh, I'm familiar with frame rates, frames of moves, frame traps etc. I don't rely on the thought like Cage, KL and Kabal players up close do with their frame traps...so annoying. A lot of other hardcore MK guys like myself are into the frame rates, frame issues etc. Oh wow 4 months ago, so you're still learning a lot I bet.
@Vaeternus: Ah spamming the art of repeating a special move until your fingers bleed. I've come across people who have basically developed spamming into some rare form of skill, especially with Raiden and Saibot. My cousin who I play a lot is a spam king with Scorpion.
I know of frame rates, but I don't really think I'm skilled enough to convert it into any sort of advantage or actually put it into practice within the game's mechanics...I still struggle with stringing together combos and juggling opponents.

Yeah, personally I don't believe in the term "spamming" lol I think that's just a crutch for noobs to whine about when they lose badly lol. "OMG, you spam me" lol, like Shut up kid haha. I mean if it's in the game, use it unless it's an infinite, unescapable frame trap or glitch that needs patching then different story. But some people I've played get so pissed if I zone them out with 5 missles in a row with Sektor, then rush in for a 50/50 mix up...like why get so angry? lol
if someone picks Noob or Sub-Zero I expect them to shoot iceballs and clones all day long. Same for SF, people who use Ryu and Ken shoot Hadokens all day, this does not surprise me.
If anyone just mindlessly "spams" fireballs lol and that's it, they will lose unless they're playing a really bad player or nooby. The concept to me is the same in COD with "noob tubers" if someone is that good a player with every weapon, then the noob tubers are irrelevant especially since they have shots only and have to hit someone from a far distance unless you hit them flat out with a grenade but yeah lol. As for combos, juggling it takes tons of practice...
Me too, but the fact they used him at all made me become a rampaging fangirl for like 20 seconds. I love both Path of Radiance and Radiant Dawn so I geeked hardcore.
@Blood1991: They should just make a Fire Emblem fighting game. The stratego aspect is fun and all but they have a ridiculous cast of characters and the sheer amount of possible versatility for it would be too good to pass up IMO and make an excellent smash'em up game.
@god_spawn: Agreed, hell Final Fantasy had one, why not Fire Emblem? FE has some really great characters though using the riding characters could be tricky, but if MVC can make Phoenix Wright work i'm sure Nintendo could figure it out.

I'm not super great at recurring combos, but I can do all sorts of crazy things with Jade. Her come back boomerang and then her 3 staff attack followed by her stripper kick is the most deadly thing ever. Stryker is also a badass.

The old dude is Tall Man from Phantasm 1~4, he is currently still not very playable, but you can't hold my opinion to it, the designer stay true to the character, mostly he uses the sphere to attack his opponent, which is an iconic weapon he uses in the film. If you're good at zoning maybe you'll mastered playing him.
Bottom left corner, the one with the disfigured, mummified face is Maniac Cop from Maniac Cop. Bottom right corner, Herbert West from Re-Animator 1~3, still in development.
Maybe you'll change your mind (: It's pretty arcade, the fighting mechanics, but still fairly solid. It's oldschool & a cult classic treasure.
Out of Eternal Champions, I preferred Larcen and Midknight. When the sequel came out I mostly played as Thanatos, but then I used the animals sometimes to piss off my friends.

This game I played the demo way back, I would love to for Netherrealm Studios to make a licensed games with these guys in it. They already put Freddy in it, MK9. Can you imagine? lol would be so epic.
But yeah, Jade is pretty cool. Very unpredictable style. Stryker's roll is the best move he has, well that and the guns.
