What's your comfort movie?

When you're feeling down or lonely, what movie(s) do you watch to feel better? Mine is probably "Moonrise Kingdom". It's not my favorite movie, it's in my top 10 though. The movie just lifts my spirits for some reason with it's childish idealism and campiness. I love it.

I don't think I ever do this or have a movie I put on to make myself feel better. However, I do this with music A LOT.

So do I. I'll make a thread.

Well, I think there's just something about Wes Anderson's movies that help us when we feel down. Mine would be Royal Tenenbaums and, more recently, The Grand Hotel Budapest.

"What about Bob?" Quite possibly the best Bill Murray movie ever.

Out of his works i've only seen Moonrise Kingdom. I'll have to give the others a chance soon.

Mostly I turn to anime when feeling low, however comfort food often triggers memories of simpler times and younger days. For me that would be old black and white movies, mostly screwball comedies and musicals. Growing up I watched a lot of TCM and AMC way back when it showed 90% classic films.
